Maybe O can halt the steady death march toward American theocracy.

However, to see a rational, educated man talk about some religious concepts, causes cognitive dissonance. I wonder, that if Obama believes religious ideology should submit to a Master of argument and enquiry before being enshrined as public policy; then, why is this same religious belief fit for his own consumption? Why have these beliefs escaped his personal, rational filter? ....or have they?

Is religion the faked orgasm of the rational-minded? Perhaps it is easier to go through the motions than it is to explain detachment to those we love.

I've seen the video of the woman who collapsed and died in the waiting room of the King's County hospital in New York.

Apparently, she'd been taken to the hospital and was told to wait until a bed became available.....in the waiting room! One report said she'd been waiting 24 hours, sitting in a chair.

This was a human being, a black woman who collapsed in a waiting room with other black people seated observing. No one flinched or went over to see if she needed help.

Did anyone else see this? What do you think? Did anyone see the vid of the cop who dumped a disabled man from his wheelchair to prove he was faking?

Ignorance?
Cruelty?
Self Hatred?

I looooove the internet!
It's the most magical thing ever!
The thing that tickles me most is how it mirrors new age and some scientific thought of a connective web of information that underlies all life. It makes me think of remote viewing theory of signal lines that our biological computer can "dial" into with coordinates - like an url - and receive raw data. I like how it mirrors the human nervous system and the transmission of information.

With the interenet, you've got to mature in how you process information. You've got to seek out things rather than the passive, receptive response to the TV box...which I think is similar to being preached to in a congregation. I think it's fascinating how many of the people commenting on the Obama campaign website and his YouTube channel are not even American.

She was in a waiting room with other black people. The security guard was black. One person in the waiting room was making a phone call. The cop who dumped the disabled man out of his wheelchair was black. Clearly somebody told security the woman had passed out. He didn't even bother to get off his ass to walk to the room, he scooted on his chair and looked in from the doorway. No one went over and tried to help this woman. I hear everyone involved has been fired. This sick woman sat upright on a hard chair for 24 hours without sleep. When she struggled to get up no one tried to help her.

I don't know what was missing in those people that to see someone fall to the ground and struggle doesn't compel them to even walk over and try to help! You just keep making your phone call like nothing happened.

What exactly was she protesting?

From a quote I read above, it seems she brought Obama into it by saying she did it 'cause he's the first black nominee.

Now, Obama is prey for every self-promoting, borderline sociopath out there who decides to do something silly in his name.

I watched the news report, and when she speaks, and I'm not convinced. This is not an activist. This is a performer seeking promotion. What was funny was watching that black man behind her on her left while she belted out that song..his face was priceless! LOL.
