So I just ignore the mirrors and wear them anyway. I have found myself planning my Thanksgiving day wardrobe around what apron I will be wearing...

Re: The Letters Page

My favourite is the first! That's who I want to be. The woman elegantly dressed with a back yard full of chickens and veggies! Made his own and viola! His shows are amazing. And yes, although I have no entry on the site, I did make one for a friend’s graduation/laser tag party (proof age has nothing to do with maturity). It does have a presence, a weird presence, but a presence none the less...

Re: The Hor D'Ouvres Tree

Ladies you ain't seen nothing yet (crosses fingers the linky works)...

http://www.zzalgern0n.com/a...

Gotta love the Charles Phoenix!

Re: Trolley Treats

I go bi-weekly. Well sort of- Big shopping at Whole Foods one week and everything else the next week at Trader Joes (and Wall-mart). So I buy about 90% all natural and maybe 75% organic and the rest on the cheap. I go on the same day at pretty much the same time. I also do bulk shopping about once a month for a few things, mostly paper goods and beverages (it must look silly). I make up a menu first, leaving Saturdays freestyle and Sundays to pick up what “looks good”. I’m afraid I have to structure the menus too- beef night, not beef night, sandwich night, etc otherwise I get stumped and make the same thing all the time. Anyways, I make up the shopping list from that and if I didn’t get around to making something then it goes on the next menu and it’s that much less to buy. The regularity of it all keeps me from running out of most things. I always have a couple of “emergency” staples on hand for when I don’t remember to defrost the meat, or just don’t feel like following the program. I do frequently veer off the list (and off budget) and pick up special things- pickles (I’m the only one who eats them), mysterious green maraschino cherries (they’re Liiiiime!), or fresh squeeze orange juice (for a Saturday morning mimosa). I might pop into the smaller closer WF for fresh milk on the off week and any other miscellaneous, but then I really tend to pick up the extras...

Re: The Vintage HouseKeepers Circle

I'm with Lauren- Yeah, yeah, yeah!
Even if you don't agree, if you can't type something nice don't type anything at all.

As I mentioned in another comment- of all the home books, blogs, email lists, etc, etc- this is the ONE that I've used the most- or in some cases at all.
