Also...black people were not allowed in bathrooms and on buses. They lacked basic rights. They were behind. MLK preached progress for black people. Don't say you are against progressive policies and then say you and conservatives would have been for MLK. That is the very definition of lying/gaslighting. Progress is giving people who other people just can't accept (blacks gays, trans people, Jews, gypsies comes to mind) basic rights. Helping others to to see that they aren't scary. That is what MLK did. Some of you all still don't like black people, judging by the extreme racism I read on this site on the daily. So don't tell me things that are obviously wrong.

I didn't say you don't like him now. Of course you do now. Social conservatives are just always a step behind. For sure the Catholic church likes Galileo now. It's what you don't like now that you should be considering. Skate to the puck. Take a walk, diversity is the most basic part of nature and spring. Why fight it? Save your conservativeness for things that count: like conserving nature, land, family, and finances.
