I get it, on the surface this looks terrible, but I know some of the director's influences and his love of big, otherworldly monstrous creatures. I'm excited to see where he takes it.

The 2009 movie represents a diverging timeline, so I guess one Kirk was born in space, where one was born in Riverside.

PS – That town is much smaller than the movie Fanboys makes it seem.

Seriously? Spoiler alert? Dude, it's the end of the world, and at the end of the movie, it continues to be the end of the world.

I try to pay attention to that stuff, because I don't much like it when people spoil my movies, but I don't think we ruined anything here. We'll put warnings up in the future, though. Maybe edit in a *Spoiler-O-Vision* overlay. That could be cool…

Um, your Disqus plugin seems to be in Korean or something… Is that on purpose?
Also, might be worth looking into finding out how you can link a bigger size of the image. It's probably a setting in the code that you can alter from your tumblr dashboard.

I see your point, but in the photo you can clearly see that his head is in front of the intake. Same with his position in the actual trailer when the car is cut up, so that kinda kills the starting line arguement.

I seriously doubt that the actual car is from Formula-1, and it's probably just a dressed-up kit car anyway, definitely stylized with some "Stark-ness" for the movie.

I'll see it, and I'm sure I'll love it, but I'm going car-nerd right now.

The only problem with this photo, which then creates a problem with the whole car slicing scene, is that he's sitting in the car all wrong. His head's in front of the air intake. If he was sitting how he was supposed to, Whiplash would've already cut his legs off when he borks the car.
I'd love this as desktop wallpaper, but it'd just drive me bonkers all day.
