If you watch the video, you'll see that even the model says she's not considered plus-size, and that if she did model as a plus-size, real plus-size women (and apparently everybody else) would get pissed. (She calls her size "in betweeny size" too large to model skinny sizes, too small to model plus sizes.)

What is marriage? I've always believed matrimony was at the heart of it; from "mother making". Of course, in modern usage, single motherhood has become the norm, although it still legally binds a father to the child, I suppose.

I've been told by a lawyer that Wayne County* probably would've treated me a lot kinder than Oakland County did. Other than to say I got pulled over a quarter mile north of Eight Mile, and that I left my native state after an expensive and costly legal battle, I'm not going to elaborate.

shorter answer, ccw1911 is probably right that the letter of the law doesn't vary much from Detroit and Farmington Hills, although prosecution may vary in its vigor.

I've called the non-emergency line to try to verify the identities of 2 plainclothes, and 2 armoured officers at a neighbour's late one night (one of their cars had the license plates removed) before. They were unable to provide any information.

I laugh inapproriately a lot. Not at rape jokes, per se, as I don't hear 'em much, but as a coping mechanism. Laughing makes me feel good. Being upset doesn't. I hope I'm not trivializing the topic, I'm just sharing how I navigate the emotional trauma.

What I'm trying to learn is to not allow the triggers to get the upper hand. I appreciate the article's discussion, and while my response isn't well-formulated, it will probably be perceived as an opposing opinion, when in fact it's not intended to be. I'm just trying to figure out how to not be affected by things outside of my control. By telling people "that's not okay", I think you're taking a brave position. There are jokes that I've laughed at in spite of myself, knowing the wrongness of it is part of what makes it funny. That's not excusing it as right or wrong, it's just stating how I react, which should be something I can control.

I wish you much peace and happiness, and yes, laughter in your life.
