are you sweedish? no wait, american indian, that would be great, because those are the most hurt people on the continent, i saw it once on a documentary, those cherokees were really fucked over. i should just kill myself for being such a shit ass dumb whitey. but to make it up to you all, my next film will be about the suffering of those who have a blogging addiction with sort of a reality twist complete with intervention by people with names such as slanty, herman, moss, theoldkid, and hiromi. the angle will be that they've never even met, but are still concerned about the devastating effects of twitter and facebook and other blogs on poor souls such as slant eye and even me at this point... we need help. please help.

we showed the movie to an audience last night at the action on film international film festival in pasadena...
there was a volunteer helper for the festival named john there... he was asian... he was more than excited about our film, i had given him a copy earlier in the week, he really enjoyed it, and i told him about this blog, and the issue, and he said that it is not offensive at all to him, and he laughed at the jokes in the movie, and that the martial arts were great, and that the movie was totally done in the style of kung fu classics, so mission accomplished, and at least one asian man likes us...

i am addressing one part of the issue here:
fact: racism is complex and is a grey area.
fact: if it is even slightly racist in concept (in your opinion), then it is very light hearted, and unintentional, and doesn't even come close to all the other really rude stuff out there.
fact: you are upset about our movie.
fact: i cannot help you.
fact: nothing i say eases your problem.
fact: you don't get it, and that's ok.

the main point of the issue is:
fact: you did not watch it...

so you should watch the whole thing, and then tell me if it's really that bad, i bet you will laugh at some of the sillyness. and probably you'll find out that there really is no harm done here.

this guy already freaked out on our movie in a negative way after NOT ever seeing the film, and called us racist, but when all the comments got really juicy, he tucked his tail and changed the name of the blog to this one without posting any of the really good comments from both sides of the argument...
so don't waste your time posting... this has already been blogged to hell... he'll just delete it if it gets real. why did you do that anyway? it was a great argument on both sides... guess you just want to be mad at us... and that is fine, it's an essential part of america to have your own opinion, even if it's based on thin air. don't judge a book by it's cover.

the reality of this is that we spent 5 years of our lives making this movie, and it is quite an accomplishment for the people involved, and we never intended to be racist, and we sincerely apologize for any hurt feelings. we just like old kung fu movies, and find humor in the lo budget productions of saturday kung fu theater from the past... it's a comedy, and an homage to 1970's kung fu classics, the best we could do with no budget, so sorry if it is offensive. i was never going for that direction, just comedy and real martial arts from enthusiastic volunteer actors and actresses. really, GBIII people, don't waste your time blogging, as this guy will just send all of your thoughts to cyber trash in the end...

not sure what all the yellow face is about... i probably have the saturation set too high in the photoshop document of the poster?? really we never painted anyones face yellow... we also had a black guy in the movie, but his blackness is hidden under a black mask, but his dreads give it away. oh, also, the original ending in the script was that the Chinese army was going to come in with tanks and guns and steal the golden blade, and kill the filmmakers... we just could not find any tanks or enough asians in asheville to play the army... if you want to cast and budget that alternate ending, that would be a great special feature on the dvd. you could even be the soldier who kill the director, me. how should i die? what would be a great stereotypical way for a white round eye to die? get back to me when you find the budget.
