This is where you have to stand firm and be your own moderator if you don't have one and simply warn the person that if they continue to disrespect, they're out, and delete the idiotic comments. If they continue, ban them. You win. They lose. ;o)

Re: (steve isaacs)

yeah baby, cute porn!!! Is he yours or someone's from your office?

Nibbler is way too adorable. How much do you guys feed him?
What could be fun for the little guy, maybe hide food and let him run around the office to find it... just don't step or sit on him!

I used to work for an aquarium store and we sold those cute little white feeder mice. If a customer came asking for one to feed his snake, i just could not bring myself to give him one.. i ended up taking a few home to prolong their inevetable fate at least a little longer. Needless to say I was fired from that job lol

Re: (steve isaacs)

that's so... i don't know how I feel about that. Turned off I guess. He actually threw something back at the kid? Who is the adult in this situation? If you think it's lame to throw things at people, then why would you throw it back? He was being just as stupid as the fan. Honestly, security should have escorted Josh off the stage as well... If one person isn't allowed to do it, nobody should, even if you're on the stage. I don't care who you are, nothing gives you license to be an ass to people.

*sigh* I don't think I'll ever understand why people do the things they do..

Re: (steve isaacs)

hahaha! Liza was the one talking about Obama (& Osama). Liza in fact did say a stupid thing, whether she intended it to come out the way it did or not. Olbermann should be on his soap box going off about Liza, if anyone. In any case, due to the messed up mind frame of humanity, any president in any country essentially risks assassination... why? Because that is the collective consciousness we have created.. this irrational fear that if you actually stop in the present moment and look, it has no basis. If the collective consciousness wasn't so cynical and was more positive, it would reflect in our external environment. Unfortunately until people get out of their heads and stop believing their thoughts are the truth and absolute reality, we will always live in a dark and cynical world. I'm honestly not trying be right, or make anyone wrong, i'm simply stating an observation, and appreciate everyone else's.

As far as Hillary goes, she gets asked the same questions over and over again. In one instance Olbermann is referring to, she was asked if her continuing fight against Obama for the democratic nomination hurts the democratic party. And she said "no, i don't".. and went on to reference other difficult campaigns (Bill's) that went on longer than expected that didn't do anything to the democratic party.. one candidate was even assassinated and yet here the Democratic party is, still up and swinging in full force! That is what she essentially meant... She gives evidence to support her statements, that is the style of speech. I don't know where Olbermann came up with the stories he was going on about.
And I also see no reason why Hillary should drop out, when she is doing well and has the drive and funds to carry on. If anyone should be running along with Obama, it should be her.
I think both are great leaders, and admire their courage in the face of racism and sexism.

Re: (steve isaacs)

LOL oh hell no..

Re: (steve isaacs)

ooh dang, she kind of said that under her breath but we still heard it!!

As far as Olbermann goes, so Hillary made a historical reference to a particular time, that might have been irrelevant.. big deal. She was simply trying to make a point in talking about long lasting campaigns, and not trying to imply anything.

Re: (steve isaacs) - Duffy - Distant Dreamer

aww, is Steve dreaming of all the magical things he's been wanting do but for whatever reason hasn't yet? You know what Disney said.. 'If you can dream it, you can do it' .. so stand for what you believe in and just do it! (/end peptalk)

It's always interesting to hear what others dream of doing.. what are some of your dreams and aspirations that haven't been fulfilled yet? (anybody can answer)
I have a clear vision of owning my own design studio... im working on making it happen.

dude, zongza has pretty much everything.. are they allowed to do that?

hope everyone has a great memorial day!

Re: (steve isaacs)

what in the world? LOL

It's always a trip going on the subway... Once I came across a big hairy homeless dude vomiting in the seat in front of me. Sad, but really gross. Needless to say I've been limiting my metro travel since then.

Re: (steve isaacs)

haha, so hear you about IKEA. I bought my bed from there when I moved out to LA and it took me an entire day to assemble the gazillion pieces. Just one piece of furniture, way too much work..
At least the mattress is super comfy!

Re: (steve isaacs) - One Year Anniversary of Moving to New York

Dang, a year already?
I think everyone has gone through a bunch of changes in the past year.. moving, new jobs, losing/gaining relationships.. I know I'm at a totally different place now than I was this time last year. And i feel a move to the west side/santa monica coming on. such is the ebb and flow of life.. you never really know where you'll end up from one moment to the next. It keeps things interesting.
I'm really glad everything in New York is working for you. Definitely give a heads up if you're ever in LA- I never got to say farewell since I couldn't make your party. A friend of mine mentioned Cinespia season starting up next month and I was reminded of the times we hung out at the cemetery. You know, because that's what cool people like us do-watch old movies at a cemetary, drink, snack, and chill..
Melissa sounds great and from what little I have seen on facebook seems to be from the same part of the world as me (in terms of ethnic background). Provided I was invited, and you were having one full-out, I would totally fly out to NYC for your wedding once you get everything planned out. I'm a sucker for weddings :o)

I like blogs like this where Steve speaks from a deeper place. It is not sappy, it is good and probably essential to release what's up in the heart and mind.

I think we would all love to read the Rainy Sunday lyrics, if you don't mind posting them. Or you can record it for us so we can listen..
Play us a song Steve!!

Re: (steve isaacs)

I love cannon! Andy Goldsworthy... he does amazing nature art all outside with only his bare hands and sometimes saliva. it's all exposed to the elements and impermanent.. his work usually doesn't last more than a day or so. Check him out.
