In general for the lazy part to work you have to be inside a transaction
when you are trying to lazy access some fields of the loaded object. DAO's implementation should be transaction agnostic. You should control this before calling your DAO.

Ok, so you need to add an address to a person. No need for global vars whatsoever. You load the person to which you want to associate the address and you add it to your Address object.

In your address object you will have a Person that will be the used to join (manyToOne with a JoinColumn) with the person.

In general, they way you describe it, i assume that you will load the Person, then create a new Address that you will add it to the loaded person. So you have the information needed (the id of the person). A method in the manager like .createNewAddress(Person person, Address address) makes sense to me.

Είμαι στην περίοδο που ψάχνω τις βέλτιστες ρυθμίσεις για την μπαταρία. Για την φωτεινότητα θα συμφωνήσω και θα προτείνω το Lux (για android). Ενα εξαιρετικό app που του ρυθμίζεις εσυ τη φωτεινότιτα θες ανάλογα με το φως που έχει έξω. Απλά υπέροχο.

Για τα background apps δεν ξέρω αν ισχύει 100% αυτό που θα πρόσεχα περισσότερο είναι τα wakelooks παρά να κλείσω κάποια apps καθώς (θεωρητικά πάντα) το εκάστοτε OS κάνει την διαχείρηση του. Θα τα έκλεινα μόνο αν αισθανόμουν οτι το κινητό μου δεν τραβάει και ξεμένει απο RAM. Το 2G/3G tip είναι spot on. Το κάνω απο την εποχή που είχα το 3GS και ποτέ δεν κατάλαβα γιατί κόσμος έχει ενεργοποιημένο το 3G όταν δεν θέλει να σερφάρει.

It depends on your implementation and your transaction handling. What you say is true in this simple example though.

It is indeed a hibernate depended implementation since it is using the org.hibernate.Query. This does not mean though you can not apply the same logic / implementation while using other frameworks.

You forgot to define to the PersonManagerImp() class that it implements the PersonManager interface.

since you need to use a file than you can skip the dao part as described and write your own implementation for the file persisting. Regarding the manager, of course you can keel them since they are agnostic to the dao's implementation.

From day one i used an ifttt recipe to save my instagram photos to my dropbox. It has been quite a long now that i am also using ThinkUp to save my tweets and FB content to my personal db e.t.c

are you referring to the Person.hbm.xml?
This should be auto generated by net beans, i can quote it if you want.
Regarding the table in the DB it is this:

Θα συμφωνήσω για το όνομα με τον φίλο Antonysig. Έχουμε Macbook pro, VW Beatle, Fiat 500 etc etc. Δεν είναι τόσο θέμα.
Και εγώ είναι το πρώτο ipad που σκέφτομαι σοβαρά να πάρω λόγο οθόνης. Αν εξαιρέσεις τις ταινίες το downloading και το photo editing όλα τα άλλα όταν βρίσκομαι σπίτι τα κάνω πλέον στο iphone και ζορίζομαι λίγο με την μικρή οθόνη οπότε πιστεύω πως θα μου φανεί πολύ χρήσιμο ένα ipad.

HibernateUtil.beginTransaction(); is being closed when we commit our transaction by calling again the HibernateUtilHibernateUtil.commitTransaction();Hope i helped.

Η προσωπική μου άποψή είναι ότι μόνο hard reset δεν κάνουμε... Ούτε καν Service Pack δεν βάζουμε... Όλα επιφανειακά στοχεύοντας τα εύκολα θύματα! Anyway αυτό θα κριθεί καλύτερα σε καμία 3ετία. Από την άλλη θα διαφωνήσω μαζί σου και ηλεκτρονικά σχετικά με το "εν “έβγαινες”, τότε κακώς το άνοιξες". Αν εσύ έδινες εξετάσεις σε ένα μάθημα που όλοι το περνούσαν με αντιγραφή και ο καθηγητής έβαζε τα θέματα με γνώμονα ότι όλοι αντιγράφουν τότε αν απλά διαβάσες καλά και δεν περάσες δεν θα φταίς εσύ που κόπηκες!

Πολύ σωστά τα γράφεις, Αν μπεις σε site όπως το monster.co.uk ή το graduatejobs.co.uk κάνουν αυτό ακριβώς που λες. Είναι λίγο κωμικοτραγικό το να προσφέρεις εργασία και να μην αναφέρεις στην αγγελία σου τις απολαβές. Αλλά γίνετε από όλους. Επίσης θα συμφωνήσω και με τν eriol78 για τα προσόντα. Επίσης, θα ήθελα ιδανικά οι εταιρείες οι οποίες τελικά δεν ενδιαφέρονται να σε προσλάβουν να απαντούσαν ότι κύριε λάβαμε το βιογραφικό σας και δεν ενδιαφερόμαστε. Έχω ακούσει ιστορίες από άτομα που πήγαν σε συνεντεύξεις και δεν έλαβαν καν απάντηση! Επαγγελματισμός!
