I'm completely hooked on this manga! I've easily read it for 5 hours straight one day before I could tear myself away. Just can't seem to read one volume then stop! Has the same vibe as 20th Century Boys, which is just too epic at times.

Ah thank you, google images + ninja = that. Just finished this manga last night, or this morning I suppose, at close to 6 AM. Even if spoilers are allowed I won't endulge, but the last half of volume 17 through 18 is just so intense. That quiet little town got turned upside down in such a brutal way. And on a side note I hate Roberto with the passion of a thousand burning suns.

I agree! Hard to believe it's been going for nearly 20 years, with his artwork improving so much over that time. This definitely has to be called a masterpiece.

This had my favorite anime series when I was just getting into Fansubs. Well this and DNA^2. Then I found some of the manga at an anime convention and was surprised at how much better the source material is. Recca's the original loudmouthed ninja in my life so take a step back Naruto before you get burned. I do thoroughly enjoy Naruto though as a manga... the show is wearing pretty thin on me.

I agree, Guts... despair can make a story easier to relate to (not to sound depressed or anything) and I'm saying it's about damn time Naruto has brought out some true badassary (if that's not a word it is now). I was getting sick of him not really being in the spotlight recently, and I'm just glad he's getting up into the higher tiers of ninja power. It was like when they were kids again and Sasuke had the lead with Naruto trying catch up. Now I think Naruto could probably take Sasuke since he can't use that Cursed Seal anymore... it was cheating anyway.

Yeah I caught that, I don't believe they have mentioned where the other half has been sealed. Wait, looking around I found in ch. 370 Jiraiya briefly talked to a toad with a scroll for a belly about the two chakras. Saying the Fox's yang chakra was inside Naruto and the Fourth sealed the Yin chakra using the Shiki Fuujin, whatever that may be. If it's an object and it holds the other half of the Fox's chakra then Madara may very well be after it. This is only speculation of course. This story can be hard to predict.

Man I'm with you, I like parts of it though. It just kind of... well... goes no where. Decent action, I like seeing him tear people apart, but there is way too much time jumping going into the past, then the future... or is that the present? Who knows... if that's supposed to make you feel as disoriented as the main character then I guess job well done because I have no idea what I just read. There's an anime of it now with some smooth animation but it's just as confusing. That ending even... what the hell, right? That's not an ending at all...

I'm a sucker for a good romance manga and this is one of my favorites. Been awhile since I read it but I felt I should at least say something about it, y'know? I think I liked how all of the characters are flawed in their own way, it makes them more real which is important in something like this.

I keep reading because this arc has end of the series written all over it. If this whole Aizen arc ends then some new story arc starts up I will most likely wash my hands of this series. I like to finish stories I start if I can manage, bugs me if I don't.

I actually thought it was done by the same guy as One Piece at first, but was corrected. I didn't even know the same mangaka did Rave Master til I was channel surfing one Monday night and came across Sci-fi channel and I see Pluu powering up and doing some massive attack or something and I was just like "LOL Wut!?" I was afraid there was a Fairy Tail anime that I somehow missed. I'd like to see some of these fights in motion, y'know?

I was so hooked on this series when I had volume after volume to pour through. I loved seeing Kurono turn from whiny selfish coward to fearless badass leader who actually cares for his friends. It's the kind of character transformation that you don't really see too often these days. I also love the way Gantz practically puts them in a Team Deathmatch game against aliens with very real consequences. I think it holds a theme of sheer brutality from both humans and aliens, maybe they aren't so different after all? Sometimes I think the aliens act more human than a lot of the human characters. It's interesting to see it as both sides just fighting for survival. I just wonder why the aliens on Earth in the first place.

I root for him constantly! He's not really all that bad a guy if you are his friend, but if you're his enemy or are fighting him then things are different. He straight up declares war on any of his opponents and it's no mercy. Raping a professional fighter's girlfriend so that he would accept Narushima's challenge... that was intense, wasn't rooting for him there. I thinkin' "Oh you messed up now, Ryo..." He's gone through a lot of emotions through the manga and you can see there a things that haunt him, excluding his patricide.

The anime turned me onto this manga. I wasn't satisfied at all with the anime's ending then picked up the manga. The entire Northern Territory War arc at the end of the anime is almost completely different in the manga. Of course the manga continues and the anime probably never will. (They changed way too much to be able to follow the manga storyline, in my opinion). Up to the point though the anime was pretty faithful to the source material. It's a good dark series though and I enjoy it, characters able to regenerate limbs leads to them being severed pretty often and that's always fun to see and makes for good fights.

I can't wait til Manji gets out of prison... that's all I can say really. Oh, I also love the style of the artwork in this. Has this gritty sketch look that I enjoy for some reason as opposed to really clear clean lines.

So... there will be a live action movie based on this series. Saw a poster of it on the net. Had one man standing in the middle of a city street with the two brightly lit "eyes" from a large round shape staring towards him a good bit in the background. Looks like it'll be the first part of a trilogy, and you can find teasers and trailers for it on Youtube. As long as Otcho is as awesome as he's supposed to be I'll be happy.

I know... Kakashi was my favorite of all the Jounin (probably the same for a lot of people). I can't wait to see Gai's reaction to his death I know he'll take it very hard. Also, if Sasuke keeps with his plan to destroy Konoha and it's people then he'd be throwing away everything Itachi did to keep him from blaming the village. He obviously didn't want Sasuke to hate the village and had no problem being the scapegoat to both give him a reason to become strong and a reason come after Akatsuki. So far it seems like Itachi's efforts were wasted. I wonder what Itachi gave Naruto before he fought Sasuke... hmm.

Yes, Kenpachi = All Sorts of Awesome. Also, Chad doesn't get nearly enough page space... it saddens me that somehow he became a Krillin of this series. Small nuggets of awesomeness every now and then but most of the time he's just getting laid out.

I've thought about the whole IchixRukia thing and honestly, unless Ichigo dies, I don't see it happening. I don't think Rukia would let it, she seems like the type to know that a relationship with a living person would be impossible. Plus, her and Inoue are tight and she probably wouldn't get in the way of that. Don't get me wrong though, early in the series before Inoue was a major factor I was thinking the same thing, but now it is definitely drifting towards Ichigo and Inoue. Who knows though... Ichigo is dense about all that mess. I also always thought Tatsuki (that her name?) might manifest some kind of power since she started seeing ghosts, but I guess I was wrong.

I agree it followed the manga very closely until the Northern Territory War. Then while the manga was going in a straight line, the anime decided to make a 90 degree turn to the right and do it's own thing. I liked seeing Priscilla and Clare fight, that was cool and all. Since Clare never awoke that much in the manga I only wonder how they came up with the form she assumed, but I can only assume the mangaka approved it. And with the way it ended with Clare and Raki together again instead of Raki traveling with Priscilla then becoming a badass. Now it seems Raki will be doomed to be weak in the anime forever assuming it continues, which I very much doubt it will...

And yes... Isley going down was indeed heartbreaking.
