Depends on what country you're in, because it's usually a slang term. But in PR, the only word I can think of that's close is grajeo, which is more making out than just french kiss. You could just say un beso con lengua, but no one ever says that because it sounds rather clinical.

From the description you've given, my assumption is that he's just more introverted. And against his sister's foil, it is striking. But it seems he's well-adjusted, social when appropriate and certainly intelligent. He has friends at school, engages himself in positive activities and he's at the house, instead of frying his brain giving in to ignorant peer pressure.

I personally think dude's doing OK.

Oh man, just seeing this makes my stomach growl.

And it's rather appropriate, since every year when I lived in Virginia we'd drive down to the Outer Banks and camp at the beach in Rodanthe. My buddy, who was from Savannah GA, and I would get everything going in the pot and we'd have ourselves a Lowcounty bowl, as he'd say it.
