My daughter is four and I hated the fact that the last yaya we had gave her an idea about boyfriends and girlfriends already. At her age she sings songs popularized by Barbie and the Highschool Musicale.. Imagine a four year old singing STAY MY BABY and IF YOU LOVE ME FOR ME... I do not like the ad simply because it adds up to her idea of bf and gf at an early age... I ended up telling her that many people do not finish their studies because of boyfriends and girlfriends..so she should be a doctor first before she gets a bf... hahaha, and funny, I cited an example of someone who was not able to graduate and she finished my sentence by saying that the person did not finish coz he had a girlfriend first before he became a doctor, whew... I know it's quite bad to blame it on that but like you, I also agree that having the ad seen by tweens will give them the idea that dating is good and it's cool and so one step could lead to another and well, problems arise from there... and they think they can take care of themselves, when they still can not... tsk tsk tsk...
