Like Beckyloo, his audition also blew me away. It was so refreshing to see something that went beyond the "wow factor" and had real soul and meaning to it.

I really thought Jessica would go as I thought she lost her energy 1/2 way through her solo.

I'm convinced Rayven went because they wanted to keep the couples together and maybe also because she is the oldest girl (I think?) and they felt the younger girls would have more room to learn and grow.

I think they cut Rayven so that they would be able to cut a couple and not have to mix anyone up for next week. This keeps all couples in tact.

Their dancing was wonderful. The costumes were appropriate and fit what Mia was going for. For those who may remember my gripes last year, I was really pleased with the lighting for this piece. The costumes and lighting worked very well together to capture that Tim Burton-esque look from "The Nightmare Before....." BUT.....I still wanted to strangle the camera guy. Mark was allowed to dance almost completely out of some shots. The shot from below when he picked Chelsie up so that all we had was a shot of her butt and all that fabric? How about some faces!? I was very frustrated with the camera work on this piece.

Oh yeah. They aren't the couple to beat by any standards right now. Katee & Joshua and Twitchington set the bar.

I'm just tired of hip-hop gals getting a break from the judges when wearing heels but it never being acknowledged that contemp dancers are used to dancing barefoot and feeling the floor, not tottering around on heels. To go from being grounded to being up in those high heels.....not easy!

You know they always talk about hip-hop gals dealing with heels. Hello.....contemporary dancers are used to dancing barefoot! Yeah, she wobbled a bit.....but she's also probably not used to dancing in heels

Her dancing was a little weak before he joined her - but I thought her acting allowed her to carry it off and kept me interested.

I really was prepared to hate her.....now I wanna vote for them.

It just wasn't there. I know she's not used to working in heels, but the physicality just wasn't there. It was kinda slow and they just weren't down and dirty into it like they should have been.
