Thanks for showing me this great article!
This is something that's been on my mind for ages, since I moved to a country where the local (Slavonic) language:
lacks articles, lacks phrasal verbs, contains double and sometimes triple negatives, has a low number of synonyms, divide most things, including adjectives and past tenses after gender, and so on.

I uploaded this from Opera Mini to Flickr in the mobile, which was less than a good idea. the file, prior to Boozeria, got promptly named "/tmp/upload/6d9774eaee5dc6b8da24f7180a4cd7f3632074a0f38ad4b88d7f1dd3fe9f5f8f1/DSC00385.JPG" without me having a chance to have a say in it. :/

Svante Pääbo, a famous Swedish evolutionism scientist specialized in Neanderthal DNA, was in a group studying ape and human behaviour.

In those tests that measured the ability to handle the physical world, like spatial understanding and the ability to use tools in order to get a piece of candy, human two years old and chimpanzees/orangutangs performed equally well.

But in tests which measured more social abilities, like interpretation of a glance or to imitiate, the human children were very much superior to the apes in the study.

The human spirit can perhaps only be mirrored between us. Therefore it *is* outside us, since we need each other.

After all, we invented both the concept of the divine as well as the arts, the spirituality, the philosophies, the morals, even if we credited it to something outside us, instead of where it really came from: within the greatness that is the human spirit.

I deleted my Plurk account, visit FriendFeed about once a week.. perhaps. Use identi.ca for a single purpose, but Twitter?
With me, every day, every where.
The primary reasons why I stick with it is the user base and the number of apps/media channels etc where you can post as well as get your feed. Not just desktop, but mobile as well.

However,
"Twitter has the potential to be the conduit for the SMS and text messaging generation to social media."
This may be a truth of the past. Way to many people I know in the UK, and some other countries, relied on the SMS part. With that shut down, as well as the IM still not restored, the road to glory may be slightly less smooth.

If you use Twitter, I can recommend you following Warren Ellis. His "tweets" are outrageous and quite often dryly funny or witty.

If you don't know who Warren Ellis is, he is not just a graphic novel author, but a veritable locomotive when it comes to productivity. Among my favourite works of his are Hellblazer (Haunted and Setting Sun) and Transmetropolitan, of course.

Only problem for me is taht it doesn't update automatically, you basically cut and paste what you tlog tags look like right now.

I hosted this video at a company which has since changed its policy. I can't agree with this policy and has therefore deleted the video.

Hmmm.. Good point.
Never seen Aftershocks served @ Slimes.
Could have something to do with keeping up appearances, which is easy with a Bacardi breezer (including post imbibing) and a tad harder with, say Aftershock Green.
Not to mention you are supposed to look pale as a Goth, right?
After downing two Purple Hazes, I was more reddish in me Chevy Chase, rather than pale. ;)

I have pondered the same a couple of times. Problem is I too often have the handwriting similar to umm.. a drunken crow with his arse feathers dipped in ink, or something.

I do have one font I made myself, but that is also my own alphabet, which I started developing around '99 or something. It was later developed to a cursive script form, which is the one I use almost exclusively today.
Hmm.. May have to post about that one some day. And make a pic of it to upload.

Thanks, my friends. If this shite (bad stuff) turns in to compost (something decently good), I honestly think I will never have to work again.
Right now, it seems I will have to work until I am 74, before being able to retire, though, heh.
