Simply by reading those three riffs and rhythms a feeling of jubilation, peace and youth takes over. This is what brings me right back to music every single time I’m in a rut. Whether it’s a killer riff by Eric Clapton, the gripping vocals of John Lennon, a bluesy hook from BB King, a drum solo from Bonham or the beautiful harmonies of Boyz II Men, there’s a place in my heart that feels better when listening to these talents.
Music takes me to an emotional place that I otherwise sometimes have trouble verbalizing. When listening to a song and I feel as if the lyrics were written for or even by me, I know the song has taken me over. I can listen to a song for 2 notes (sometimes 1 note) and immediately become overwhelmed by old memories that I associate that song with. These are the songs that helped me get through those tough times.
Some of my best memories in life are singing my heart out with my brother on road trips in his car. By the time we reached our destination we were both hoarse as can be, but it was our therapy. These kinds of cleansing sing-a-longs still bind my brother and me together in a way that nothing else can.
Music always seems to be at the foundation of everything I do in work, play and everything in between. It’s with me during the best and worst of times, ever-present and ever-powerful.

Re: WEEKLY UNEMPLOYMENT CLAIM REMINDER.

The site is back up!
