Then, because they got along well with Fred, they invited him to contribute keyboards to their 1984 Works album, on which Radio Ga-Ga appeared.

Re: Star Fleet Sessions: How It Began (VIDEO)

Well, at least you got to see them. I didn’t get into them until 1980 and I begged my parents to take me to their show in Atlanta on the 1982 tour (we were in Jacksonville Florida and Atlanta was the closest they came) - but no dice. At the same time, being in Jacksonville had its benefits – I got to see the opening night of VH’s 1984 tour. :)

Re: Star Fleet Sessions: How It Began (VIDEO)

That picture is not from either the news of the world tour or 1978. It’s from sometime during the 1980|1981 tour for The Game. Freddie didn’t grow the mustache until that tour/1980 and the bass drum head is the one specifically made for that tour.

Re: Sony Alpha NEX-5R

"Apart from that extra step, transferring photos is painless. They show up as thumbnails on your phone, and you can select which ones you'd like to copy over and transfer them at the touch of a button. This works for any files—including Raw images—but photos are sized down to 1.7-megapixel JPG files prior to transfer. There is no option to transfer at a higher resolution."

This is incorrect, at least on IOS. If you go to Setting - Playmemories Mobile - Image Quality, you can set the IQ to "full" and it will import the pictures at full resolution and size. Tried it on an iPad and iPhone. It would be a lot better if they made this option clear in the settings inside the app itself rather than in the IOS settings tab, but it is there, and is a big convenience. Now I can transfer photos in full res to my Ipad for editing before transferring to my computer. Note - I only tested for jpegs, can't say whether it transfers RAWs in full resolution.

Re: Amazon announces Kindle Singles: really, really short books

All these references to early 1990s, etc., and no one's commented yet that Jeff Ament is also the name of Pearl Jam's bassist?

Re: Application Support - Jonathan Johnson's Blog

I bought metronome, but the click does not appear to keep steady time at 16th notes; I have tried it from 85 bpm and on up. My phone is a first gen iPhone, with 2.0.1 OS, no jailbreaking etc. Any ideas? Thanks, Mike
