I mean I understand that they want to make sure you are productive during company time, but for me, I can be browsing the web, listening to music, chatting on gchat and still be productive let the numbers prove it, not a stupid program to monitor everything!

Plus my employer is implementing a CRM (customer resource management program) that integrates with my outlook which will "help" managers understand the day to day operations of a sales rep, to me its crap, and they just want to have more control over what we are doing day in and day out

Glad we could help..I've been messing with it all day...solid browser. Make sure to go into the prefs and change image quality to high! And I changed the magnification to xlarge

I couldn't get mine to work correctly even with gears anyone have ideas? I enabled in settings, and activated my sig, but it wasn't showing up, and also when i am on my blackberry which is where I send out the majority of my emails from it wasn't working and that is when I would most likely want it to work with my latitude on my phone.

I have yet to experiment with ubuntu but Praz had it on his computer for a while and seemed to like it. The only issues I could potentially see, is if you have multiple computers and one is running xp, one is running windows 7, and one is running ubuntu then desktop connect or VNC is not going to work. I have the latter two and would most likely not load ubuntu on my 3rd comp because then they can't communicate and printer sharing becomes difficult. It pays to have ease of use.
