I've rarely used the laptop. Which phone to use with it ? I initially tried the SE X10 mini as an extremely small form factor - almost too small!, but have since moved back to the iPhone4.

Because Apple deliberately tie the iPhone so closely with their other products in this case the iPad, they are complementing each other more and more. eg playing carcassonne on an iPad and then seamlessly picking it up when mobile (without the iPad) on the iPhone4. You may want to try and contact them.

br,Martin

Re: Mindshare vs. Marketshare

Hello Vitor,
Yes I agree. Nokias dominant MarketShare worldwide allows them to adopt a "fast follower" approach and then dominate BRIC Mindshare. The point above was to question whether in Europe and North America Nokia will regain the Mindshare to head-off a potential loss of Marketshare in the top end smartphone category.

Re: G1 arrives

Yes I agree. I think the N85 is probably better for my needs as the smaller screen size doesn't bother me too much and it has almost everything the N96 has (except DVB-H) and some software the N96 does'nt FM transmitter. That said, try the BBC iPlayer web run time widget on the N96. It uses WLAN to download/stream the media, but it's pretty cool.

Re: The Future's Cloudy, the Future's Ovi ?

Hi Paul,
I think Nokia have brought the battle to the Operators and were partly forced to by the (i) web/internet players starting to evolve into mobile in a high profile way and using mobile as a distribution platofrm (ii) commoditisation of hardware inevitability forces device OEMs in to the software arena thus the symbian/trolltech announcements (+ many others reasons of course).
It's too early to say how the traditional symbiotic relationships between the Operators and Device OEM's will play out, affecting services, devices and networks. The last 18 months has seen big change in this area already - with the delicate balance being upset and publically noted in the blogosphere. I expect it to continue, but I would say the Operators are not sitting idly by passively watching it happen.

Re: iPhone SDK

Probably right about the number of kids with iPhones - but as a parent, interactive crayon physics (http://www.installerapps.co... and lego are enough to keep me busy let alone the kids!

Re: LinkedIn goes mobile

Hi David, just sent you email...

Re: Two interesting announcements

hmm.. thanks for the comment Chris..
