When directing to content, it can reduce time on page when people end up not getting what they came for -- given they really didn't know what they were coming for other than filling in the gap in the first place.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;And like you've addressed, you got more clicks, but did not get more conversions beyond that.
