Have they changed since then? Do you use Photoshop or just the default MS paint program? Have you tried to use Autodesk Sketchbook?

Would you entertain the thought of posting an updated video on your vlog channel of the tools you use to draw your comics and then a separate one for the tools you use to paint your paintings? I understand most of your audience is interested in the Korean culture, but I think since they follow you for your art as well, there may be a few who like to see art related videos or even behind the scenes progress videos. Just a thought (and also a personal request :-D #shamelessrequest )

Re: Moving next week!

yay! \o/ I'm so happy for you guys! When I was at the scene, it looked so wonderful that I felt I had to capture it. The color version doesn't look that much better. I pictured the photo having a lot of contrast in black and white, but apparently I was blind. I have learned a few more things about black and white photos since I posted this photo. I think I could make it a little better; probably less shitty, but still not good enough.

Re: Enchanted Droppings: 100 Days of Black and White Photos: Day 45

No, further north. When you use an online product or app and you are not paying with money, then you are paying with data/research.

Maybe Webtoon is Line's philanthropy project or tax write off. Or maybe you are on to something about using merchandising and licensing later on to make money. The Line chat app was one of the first apps to sell stickers and then later on all the U.S. companies started adding that feature since they noticed the business opportunity.

I follow a Japanese vlogger who was super excited when his character was made into a stamp/sticker on Line. He made two separates videos about it, lol. So maybe the the successful or popular comics will get a deal to make stickers for the chat app. Can you imagine that? People using your characters to express themselves to friends and fam in chats? :-)

Re: What Webtoons I’m reading

I downloaded the app because of your comic and now I am following: Smile Brush, Doodle for Food, ShootAround, and 1111 Animals.
I really like that Webtoon is supporting artists and paying them, but I wonder how does Webtoon make money? The coffee shop might start getting noisy too, but it has free wifi, atmosphere and gives you a place to go.

Re: 10 steps to improve your figure drawing

Yes. For example when you both are at the bus stop or train stop waiting for the bus or train. The guy leans against the wall and the girl leans against the guy. He wraps his arms around her. The same can happen if you two are at a crowded party or concert. This works better if the girl is shorter than the guy.

Re: Stranded (Lifeless Planet Gameplay | Part 1)

This seems like a more interactive space version of the game Dear Esther.

Re: The Best Kpop Non-Title Tracks

Yes! Congratulation!! You guys are so productive and smart. I am extremely happy for you guys. I often wondered what you guys would do next. You've mention opening a Japanese version of your business before, but that would be really hard to split yourself between two countries at once. Leaving to start over in Japan would be too much. I think this was a really good idea to supplement your income and give the users a way to meet you guys and hang out with each other.
One question: Why are you guys getting a huge house instead of a small shop to start off?

Name suggestion: "Eat. Talk. Coffee." or just "Eat Talk Coffee". It has both youtubers companies in the name. I also like what hironyx suggested.

Re: Jay Park – Metronome

For real? I liked the song on first listen. Sometimes I need to hear a song a few times before I like it or love it. It is catchy and has a good beat. It makes me want to dance. The video was decent. It wasn't overly sexy or sexified, So hopefully it doesn't get banned. Simon D's verse was longer than Jay's verse. For a minute I questioned if it wasn't Simon D's song featured Jay Park, :-) jk. I also loved the whole tailored suit look; Yum.

Re: Civ 5 Top Tier #1 - Whinge Wars

Duncan, here is a list of popular Korean companies you can use to name your Korean cities since you started with Samsung:

LG
KIA
Daewoo
Hyundai
Naver

You can switch it up and name them after Korean media and entertainment companies:

JYP
YG
SM
MBC
KBS
SBS

and last but not least you could name the cities after kpop groups:

Psy, Bigbang, 2PM, MBlaq, Epik High, F.T. Island, SHINee, U-KISS, CN Blue, INFINITE, F.Cuz, Block B, B1A4, Trouble Maker, EXO, BTS and VIXX. There are sooooo many more, but I just listed a few I thought would make interesting names for cities.

I hope that helps :-).

Re: Crayon Pop – Uh ee

This is cute and fun. You can either partition your harddrive and install windows on a second partition so you can dual boot or you can get VMware or Virtualbox so you can install windows via a virtual machine. With a virtual machine you can have different versions of windows on your computer and just load them when you need them.

Re: Korea’s Broken Internet Paradise

As a web developer "internet Explorer 6" is a trigger word (phrase).

I've read somewhere (sorry I don't have a link) that Korea and Japan, with the exception of video games, don't like to focus on software. They feel that hardware is better than software. With hardware, you are actually making something tangible with your hands. Which is why they have top electronics companies but their software may be lacking.

When you work in tech, sometimes it is really hard to get the stakeholders to understand why certain changes need to be made or why things shouldn't be done. Stakeholders can be the product manager, the client or the top managers in the company. So it is not always the programmers fault as to why something is not working or isn't user friendly. They were not allowed to make the change because it might have been out of the scope of the project, cost too much or will take too long to implement.

I found this link but this wasn't the original location of the information, but it does have similar info:

http://www.economist.com/no...

Re: JJCC – At First

Since it is their first song and video, I'm sure that is the reason the budget for this video didn't seem as big and the video didn't have a lot going on. They probably wanted us to focus on their looks and voice. I'm actually surprised that their first song is a ballad, or a slow song. Usually rookie groups tend to go for fast, powerful, "look at me" songs to get people's attention. I like the song. I like the harmonizing parts the most. The rapping ... meh. Some of the rap verses sounded forced and didn't seem to flow or flow with the music well.

I can't help but notice that one of them looks like GD in his Heartbreaker phase ...

It is almost like Jackie Chan hand picked out all the elements that make for a successful k pop group: tall, handsome/pretty, also a cute one, models, resemble other famous kpop stars, vocalist, and rappers. I'm not sure if they can dance but I read somewhere they know martial arts, which means they might be doing a lot of flipping and faux bboying later on. I just hope they have a quirky silly side to them. Looks are nice but, to me, the groups that show their quirky or silly side are the ones that last long and have the most dedicated fans.

Re: Finding Sundae

While growing up in the Bronx, on the weekends my mom would take me with her to go get West Indian bread. I think it is my favorite drama ever. It is the first time I watched a drama where they acted so natural. Their conversations seemed like real conversions between people and not just actors. Most of the interactions seem natural, especially how Na-jung and Sseureki use to fight in the beginning. Some other dramas I like are "Roof Top Prince" , "Coffee Prince", "To the Beautiful You" and a few others.
