I actually looked for a fig and ginger jam recipe to share with you! My dad used to make it all the time (we had a fig tree in the backyard when I was growing up) and it's my FAVOURITE.

My favourite: cut in half and hold over a bowl (with the cut side facing down) then BASH it with a rolling pin (or similar). All the arils just pop out into the bowl (though there is a bit of splatter if it's a juicy one) and you're left holding the empty shell!

I think your friend's rabbit needs some lettuce leaves to eat, definitely not cat food! You can get cabbage and lettuce leaves for free from the supermarket or green grocer. They're the ugly ones that they pull off the outside of the lettuce before they sell them to us (because we only like pretty vegetables), but rabbits think they're very yummy.

I think you should add Boston Legal to that list - I'm sure it's getting later and later.
And it's Welsh, not American, but what about Torchwood? That was brilliant low-budget BBC nonsense, and yet Channel 10 bumped it back to the 11pm timeslot, and then axed it halfway through the first season. Didn't even give it a chance. I think the Australian broadcasters have miscalculated the Australian funnybone.

Even I was embarrassed by Boris, and I'm not even British, let alone a Londoner. Don't you think he seems like a prime candidate for the reality TV show, Ladette to Lady? Failing that, London should really look into getting a new mayor SOON, because if he was bad at the closing ceremony, where he wasn't allowed to speak or touch anyone, he'll be infinitely worse when he has a microphone and starts getting his grubby hands on international dignitaries.
