You seem to follow what other people tell you too much. Why don't you find something out for yourself. My toy poodles do NOT go up and down the road at all, they are HOUSE dogs. The stray we take care of, runs all he wants without a tag, because all we are doing is feeding it.

800 Cases in Alabama- only one death. At least we are paying attention and getting treatment. I have always been a bit leary of getting flu shots, but in this case, where so many have died in Mexico, we will line up.

These virus travel quickly in schools, because of the constant human contact they have with each other. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. A stomach virus hit our family this past summer. Needless to say, at least 10 people got it, several of us twice. I wish we had a vaccine for that!!

These mandatory shots have all but eradicated the measles, small pox, chicken pox, and polio amongst our population. I knew someone with polio, and it was a terrible condition to have.

Thanks for updating us! Remember, hand sanitizer, and cover those mouths!! I pray we have a GREAT school year!!

Maybe YOU aren't constantly spreading fear, but I couldln't tell you how many phone calls came up here with another "date" for us to fear the end of the world. Isn't it 12-12-12 now? However, that Myan calendar date actually occurred a few years back, as their calender was shorter than ours. Darryl doesn't believe in God anymore, or the Bible. He thinks it was written in some numerological code based on the number 12. He doesn't even believe that Christ existed, and IS spreading fear of a Nazi Germany type regime arising in our country.

It is not me that needs to chill or calm down. I am calm. I am happy, and I intend to raise my kids the best way I can, without gloom and doom. I feel sorry for the people who read these forums and see validity to this type of harmful radical thinking.

Timothy McVeigh in his zealousness to prove that our government was corrupt- killed innocent civillians that he "claimed" he was trying to protect. He, too, had this militant ideology. I would hate to be the person who "enlightened" him.

We all are accountable for the things we say and do. If you would at least think about that, I will go and check out the links.

If you truly have any form of respect for someone who thinks outside your box, why do you call them names, and insult their intellgence? I.E. goons, stupid, etc...and make fun of them personally?

You catch more flies with honey. If it is your honest wish to educate the popluation and make them aware of a known danger, then why would you ridicule the people who claim you are trying to help?

It doesn't make any sense to me. I am proud to live in America.

I wish a few of you would stop spreading fear. Everyone is already aware of the constant state of our changing world, the threat of Global Warming, Ebola, Swine Flu, and other pandemics.

Stop scaring people. We have enough to worry about already.

I am glad that we got TWO more officers, TWO JOBS!! I am sure the families will appreciate them in this troubled economy!

As if they could knock a dent into what the popluation could do should they decide to riot, or a REAL PANIC occur. We would need the national guard- or more for that matter.

There should be a news spot on Channel 40 tonight. The shelter needs disposable gloves (I am assuming the surgical kind) and stainless steel bowls.

I am not affiliated with the Animal Control, but I called to inquire about the needs of the shelter today. My son stopped by with some food and bleach and said that it appeared as if they were getting lots of donations.

Way to go Talladega for coming through in their time of need!!

Hello Darryl's alter ego......I did not sell my puppies. I gave them away. I did not breed my ONE dog, she ran down the road while she was in heat FOUR years ago.. Since then, she has been fixed by a licensed vet, I paid for her treatment and not only does she receive heartworm medicine, she doesn't have one flea... Sounds like you are the dim- wit, if you even exist...So why don't shut your trap?

That woman, whose name is now in the paper, according to the article was released on a $1000 bond for FIFTY ONE charges of cruelty to animals. You claim you know where I live and that I could not hear those poor abused dogs. Unless you stood in my yard, and I know you haven't, then you have no validity in your accusations.

I COULD hear them, and now I have some peace. I dare say, not one person on this mountain had any real rest until a few days ago. I am tired of you telling the residents of this community what they could or couldnt hear, see or couldn't see, report or didn't report: when you live 12 miles away on Hwy 21 South, and have never traversed this way on your own, because you do not drive.

The only sad thing is that this went on FAR too long. Why don't YOU go to the pound and see what is what, and stop spouting out hearsay. If you are so concerned, take some bleach to them, they need it.

Those dogs were not sitting up on cemetary mountain awaiting adoption, they were being used for BREEDING, and were already caged in small rabbit hutches and chicken coops. Why don't you read before you make such radical statements.

The humane society is going to do their best to adopt all the dogs out.

Which points did Darryl and Bill make that were excellent? Your rights end where someone else's begins. The State of Alabama has picked up the rights of those animals who are defenseless. Go look at them and then rethink your statement.

The local law enforcement had every right to remove those animals who were mistreated. When you can stand at the road and SEE all those dogs and cages, and HEAR the cry of their constant whaling, combined with neighborhood complaints... there is the probable cause.

Do you not understand the law, or do you just think you are special and it doesn't apply to you? I am not sure if they had a warrant or not. The article does not say. It doesn't apply in this case. If someone was cooking meth next to your home and you saw them carrying 1000 boxes of sudafed inside, would it not be your civic duty to notify law enforcement? Or would you just consider that private enterprise and root them on as the drug addicts started rolling in to purchase their fix?

I can guarantee you that I have been outspoken for children's rights more than you know. I imagine the women are speaking out because they are disgusted that a woman committed these crimes.

And NO, I do not fit your description of who you guess is making these statements. I do not work with animals, nor their rescue, but I do love dogs. I am over the age of 35, I am happy, have a male companion in my bed each night, and have the best children a woman can ask for.

You are wrong. I am not the wife of an officer. Nor am I affiliated with the police department. I have however been rescued myself by those men and women who put on that uniform and I RESPECT THE LAW. Don't let the miss fool you, I am not unhappy and without a spouse. I have children, and I care for humans and animals alike. I ate a steak tonight, and I dare say, there is a deer head hanging above the fireplace. I am a woman, in my forties, and I am tired of your blabbering nonsense.

My son is a soldier, my father and mother were soldiers. All of my siblings were in the military at one point in time or another. My grandfather was a soldier, and my paternal grandfather landed at Ellis Island in 1908. I am proud to be an American. My rights are not being toyed with, you are misguided.

If someone driving a vehicle that fits the description of mine was just involved in a homicide or hit and run, why on earth would I NOT get out of my car and assist the police?? I answered that assinine question, but I have to wonder why would he ask such a perversion to start with? No official has ever requested such a thing to me nor anyone I know. This land is run by people, who are imperfect, it is an imperfect system, but it is the one we have. I am not above the law, neither are you. You are misinterpreting the constitution. You are bound by your states laws, and your state says that if you abuse an animal you are going to jail. Don't like the law? Lobby it, protest it, or ask for change. If the public agrees with you, then the law will change. That is a democracy.

However, in the meantime, what these people did was a crime. Deal with it.
