http://disqus.com/by/mikeysk/enFri, 20 Jun 2008 13:32:02 -0000http://www.techwinter.com/2008/06/10/iphone-killer-hahaha-when-will-they-learn-new-phone-from-samsung-omnia-i900/#comment-716349<p>remember that iphone did pretty badly sales wise in both europe and asia ... as these markets were mature enough to see its flaws beyond the fancy inteface. and the new 3g phones's specs are essentially a low end 3g phone in these territories (i mean 3.2 HDSPA when the standaard is 7.2, 2 meg camera when the standars is 5meg, sony are releasing the 8 megapixal c905).</p><p>i have used the omnia (i900) when i was in the mobile world congress barcelona, and i have to say its amazing. its specs are what the iphone should havebeen behind its great interface. plus haptic feedback is well worth apple looking into for future.</p><p>i am not disputing that iphone has a slicker inteface, but win 6.1 holds up as well, and has alot of 3rd party software support.</p><p>on the usa mobile front, they are in fact getting better, T-Mobile has in the last 7 years since it opened shop in the states, revolutionised the american cell phone habit by introducing the same low rate for cross state calls and abolishing any fees to receive calls or text messages regardless if yr not in ur home state. basically they have emulated the european/asian model</p>mikeyskFri, 20 Jun 2008 13:32:02 -0000http://www.techwinter.com/2008/06/10/iphone-killer-hahaha-when-will-they-learn-new-phone-from-samsung-omnia-i900/#comment-715884<p> read the specs! it has a faster HSDPA modem, a better camera with flash and face detection, wifi as well, video calling !!!!! this is basically an upper end europe/asian phone, and we know that europe and asia are far far more advanced in cellphone tech that the states (they have had 3g networks, 3g broadband and video calling for years, its only being deployed in the states now!) due to the states adopting a non GSM standard years back</p><p>add to that A-GPS up to 16 gig memory and FM radio, then this baby out specs the iphone considerably. although the only thing iphone has going for it is a slick interface</p>mikeyskFri, 20 Jun 2008 12:39:33 -0000
