I don't have Awesome so I couldn't check. I might go ahead and join anyway and flip my Pocket's RSS feed public. It would be cool if it did support password-protected feeds so I could keep my Pocket private. Perhaps a feature idea to pass onto the product team - although I'm sure it's not a main use case. Thanks! :)

Re: Introducing Feeds: Share Links From Your Favorite Sites Right Inside Buffer!

Buffer Team - Does the Feeds feature support private password protected RSS feeds? I'm not an Awesome customer but am tempted with this feature. My main use case would be to add my Pocket RSS feed. However, I don't want to have to make my Pocket RSS feed public - I'd prefer to keep it password protected. I couldn't find this answer anywhere.

Re: Motorola Connect extension shows up in the Chrome Web Store ahead of official Moto X launch

I've effectively had this same functionality with Google Voice + Mac app Growl Voice (http://www.growlvoice.com) for years. In addition, simplicity is key. The whole reason to use RSS is for efficient information consumption. Maybe you still have the magaziney layout option but the primary view is simple list of headlines. Finally, work with IFTT to ensure you're a channel on their platform. That will allow users to accommodate their unique needs with your MVP product.

Re: Trello versus Asana

@Chris Burgess ahh cool..you're right. We use it within a couple departments at JibJab actually. I also use it as my personal project/task manager. My biggest beef with trello though is the inability to remove features on a board by board basis that I don't use. For example, on my personal boards I'll never use the "Vote" action. Yet, I'm unable to permanently remove that option from the interface on those boards.

The challenge with all these tools is giving the user the flexibility to customize for individual needs and use cases while on the other hand not creating a tool that has tons of options other users won't need and can't remove.

Finally, one of the really cool things about Trello is public boards. Trello's dev board is here: https://trello.com/board/tr... - I've also seen other companies implement really cool uses of public boards as well.

Re: How to cope with the Gmail redesign

I'd also add a tip to check out the Minimalist Suite http://minimalistsuite.com - It's Chrome extension for Gmail as well as other Google properties that allows you to customize the UI and remove of things you don't use. There are many extensions that do this but this is the best IMHO.

Re: http://builtwithbootstrap.tumblr.com/post/12975890879

Thanks for the shout out! Something like mikebracco.com/shares - the only thing I'd want to figure out is a tool to auto-posts from that RSS feed to Facebook and Twitter (which Tumblr gives me out of the box). Also, Tumblr app is super easy to share from on mobile - which is where I'm mostly sharing from. Squarespace app not as quick to share.

Re: http://shares.mikebracco.com/post/8398124111

Let me guess - Google+ ..I'm using Tumblr b/c I can created a subdomain on my personal domain and funnel traffic there.

Re: Your Klout Score? However, it is an extremely valuable way to make a snap judgment about someone's stature/authority online...It's a starting part of analyze someone. With the web becoming more social (social web) it makes sense that we have a comparable way to analyze people as we do with pages (Google's Page Rank). In addition, I've hired for various social media positions where Klout is extremely valuable to gauge whether someone understands how to engage with an audience online.

Re: http://swell-theme.tumblr.com/#!/post/5649301160

This theme doesn't show up on iPad. Having previously worked for a data security company that specialized in hard drive sanitization (deadondemand.com) I can tell you that removing data from a drive is terribly difficult to do. In fact, for government classified information the ONLY acceptable way to destroy the data is via mechanical destruction. The requirement is that the hard disks be shredded to a particle size is no larger than 1/250th in/squared. The biggest thing I would make people aware of is the treasure trove of data that resides on printer/scanners in offices. Everything you print/scan could potentially be on the drive in the printer.

Re: Pandora mobile app found to be sending birth date, gender and location information to ad servers

I would say that definitely Pandora is in the wrong. But I think most people who bark loudly on these things just doesn't make sense when you look at their activity elsewhere online. Your explanation for controlling audience makes sense in closed loops like Facebook but certainly not on Twitter. Regardless, I think having an expectation of privacy is ok but also an understanding that anything online has a chance to become public is a realistic reality.

Re: Pandora mobile app found to be sending birth date, gender and location information to ad servers

If you're up in arms about things like your gender getting out there but you frequently tweet or share other things (which are much more personal and potentially harmful) about your life online I don't understand. I believe I was right next to you when Tyler was giving you that run down on how we use it (I'm on the Community Team at Mahalo). It has become an essential tool in our daily routine and gives us insight into what stories and pages we should 'double down on' as Jason would say. It's certainly not a replacement for Google Analytics but it's definitely a great compliment.

Also, great job on This Week in Venture Capital. It would be great to have you join the network as a regular host if that is what happens :).
