Abstinence or change of pace will bring the magic back. I used to live in Vegas where dance events heavily rely on excessive glitter and effects to amuse. (Sorry for using this comparison) After awhile, it just wouldn't work for me anymore. But when I moved to NY I was introduced to the underground where it would just be a dance floor, speakers, and people getting down. A dance event stripped away from all the unnecessary extra. Ironically, I thought what I needed was another "excess" to top of what was already excessive when all I needed was to trip myself away from it. That change of pace brought back that spine-tingling feeling atmosphere dance events induce. It was fresh, something new, and kept me pumped once again. At the end of the day, it's all about the music for us. But if all the good things that are served with dance music are already in our possession, take a step back and abstain, it'll be the only way to achieve that "high" once you're already on top of the mountain.
