Now I know what the flashes to the future are called and I finally figured out reservoir tip--it's been a slow week in Lake Woebegon....

Each season, Don flees when threatened or bored. Season One he high-tailed it away from the birthday party and begged both Rachel and Midge to go away with him. He took off with Bobbie and the Europeans in Season Two and this episode he absconds with the hitchhikers. Danger escalates with each situation.

Betty always struck me as an anthropology major--so Margaret Mead (for those of you who remember Marty Feldman).

Duck, Duck, Gross!!!

Jump cut--Joan in creative meeting at Sterling Cooper. Peggy making coffee at Gray. Don's desk bible open to the part where they put Abishag the virgin in King David's bed for hyperthermia purposes.

Re: Attention Deficit Theatre: "Mad Men," Season Two, Episode Six

As usual, a wonderful re-cap of Mad Men! I guess they'll have to re-think that "Everyone Loves a John Deere" campaign...

Joan saved the day and will totally bargain to come back in a better position (no pun intended).

Don works so hard at his fauxdentity to get ahead, yet when he just acts like Dick Whitman; that's when he impresses Conrad Hilton.

Lots of snake references--Don with Conrad Hilton and the Brits with Lane.

Re: Attention Deficit Theatre: "Mad Men," Season Three, Episode Five

Attention Deficit Theatre gets better and better! I loved the "Airplane" type line!

Until you mentioned it, I didn't really think about the show losing its luster.I thought maybe pop-ups of Joe Wilson yelling "You Lie" whenever that happened on the real show might spice things up a little. Could develop into a drinking game...

What struck me, other than Pete's sheer hatred for Peggy, was how the characters treat each other like objects. Lane treats the employees like office equipment. The teacher treats the "bruiser" (what an odd term for Betty to use) as an object. The prisoners are objects (Ooops!, subjects) to Dennis. Peggy and Pete are objects to Duck.

Would it be too predictable for Connie to be the man walking in next week?

Joan's unexpected news... Jane loses enough weight to disappear, leaving only the large white hat and a chance for Joan to reclaim Roger?

Re: Attention Deficit Theatre: “Mad Men,” Season Three, Episode Four

Fabulous! Attention Deficit Theatre is quickly surpassing baseball, Jai Alai and shouting out in town hall meetings!

Just when Gene was getting somewhat interesting...
"Bye, bye Grampa
We're gonna miss you--NO!

Thank God you're Nordic,
So,you won't mind the cold.

No more driving
in your huge, black car.

We didn't need rationing
when there was no CPR..."

Re: Attention Deficit Theatre: “Mad Men,” Season Three, Episode Three

Maybe I need to take up the concertina, but Kristin's Attention Deficit Theatre recaps are the highlight of my week!

My guess is that Roger might not hook up with Carla after all.

So...Fun Olive shames Peggy about the drugs. Peggy should stick to ruining her life in the approved Sterling Cooper fashion--using sex, lies, alcohol and tobacco instead???

Re: Attention Deficit Theatre: "Mad Men," Season Three, Episode Two

Well, Gene's given me a reason to be pro "death panel"!

At first I thought the [May]pole dancing teacher was Don's next conquest. Now I am wondering if the teacher and Don's grass fondling represented the pure natural world as opposed to the concrete and steel world of advertising. Don also mentioned hope when he was talking to the Madison Square Garden people. Maybe the Maypole scene depicted hope.
