Other than the fact that the S23U is really just a Note 23 (e.g. its design language emanates from the Note 20), I'm not sure the reason why Samsung has kept the Ultra boxy while let's say the Plus model, is curved. In other words, clearly Samsung can make an S24U with curves -- it would be the Plus model, just a bit larger, more and better cameras, and the S Pen. I do wonder whether it being boxy allows them more space for battery and S-pen?!

I just don’t understand why Google deleted Search from Gboard. Google is a search company, having that in the keyboard was a killer feature.

Update - it still doesn't work with Chrome. The solution is to install Chrome Beta, and then you can run Chrome and Chrome Beta side by side (not ideal...but it works)

Does the Tab S7+ in Canada include 5G (cellular)? I can’t seem to find any information on Samsung’s Canadian site yet, nor AMZN or Best Buy. I do see on GSMArena that there’s both a WiFi-only and Cellular S7+. Brad?!

Bad reporting. Google, via Google Payments Ltd., has been authorised in the UK (and passported throughout the rest of Europe) for years. This Lithuania license is due to Brexit.

Funny that the battery specs for the non-XL came out a few hours after this. 2,920mAh sounds reasonable for a 5.5" display...I wonder if it would work out to approx same battery life as I get on my P2XL with its larger battery but 6" higher res display and SD835?!

My P2Xl is lagging quite a bit a la MKBHD :((

Wow, a million comments here. I'll stick to the headline. I agree with Kellen, it's over-rated. It's *not* useless, but over-rated. I've gone back and forth in the past year on devices with and without wireless charging (GS7 Edge and V30 had it, OnePlus 5 and Pixel 2 XL not). It's not the deciding factor, is where I've landed. Usually if I need a real boost, I want a proper wired fast charge. The times when wireless is convenient, is a quick plop on and off and on a pad without having to plug unplug replug, and, if I get stuck travelling with no USB C cable and I happen to be somewhere with charging pads (e.g. Starbucks). I've decided that the wireless usecases are so marginal they're not worth obsessing over. I do think the glass back with no wireless charging is silly (looking at you, Oneplus...even though I did order a 1+6 today).

We don't know about battery life and camera. Those two things are key. Loved my 1P5, it was really a great device, awesome battery, but the camera was lousy. I enjoy my Pixel 2 XL, but it has bugs too, and no headphone jack still sucks. So, I'm watching this space, but not convinced.

Really no reason not to use a 3rd party calendar app - hey, it's Android. Personally I've used Digical+ for years. It has the snooze feature, and of course it can access any calendar you can imagine. Another cool thing about Android is you can use App "A" for the UI and app "B" for the notifications, so if you don't like Digical's UI, you can still use Google Calendar to manage that while getting your notifications from Digical :-). There are plenty of other 3rd party calendar apps, of course.
