Make a point quickly. Those who are making big decisions which impact many lives, they must rely on more than a video.

Whether video works better than text depends on age, product, offer, price, etc. It is possible to tell a great joke poorly and get no laughs and so it is with video.

One thing that will remain true... before people move to "yes", they will be using both their heart and mind. Easier to do so with relevant and helpful video included than not.

Re: So, What Is It You Do?

Good thoughts. Another way to approach it vs an open-ended "how can I help you?" is "I see you ______. Do you need help with that? Egopreneur who was high on himself and very opportunistic but left you empty with no real fun. And as in the movie, you gained new skills and purpose. Instead of opportunistic and game systems, you chose to have impact. A good story. Maybe your movie is yet to come. :)

Re: Overcoming Your Video Fears

OK. I get it. Fear is the enemy. Overcome fear by hiring someone to follow you and your team around with a video camera. Make it real, authentic, personable and include flying things inside the video. It is good to hear that the video experts started with fear and overcame the lizard brain, fought the resistance and thought "If they hate it, we can delete it. Nothing is permanent after all." :) Appreciate your share. Very Awesome. (And I saw Wistia hanging around Hubspot this morning. Good match up)

Re: 10 Great Alternatives to the Google Keyword Research Tool

Superb list. Thanks for the great thoughts.
Actually while your contribution to the latest and greatest is remarkable, social media marketing fits under the umbrella of "Guerrilla Marketing" very easily. It does become troublesome though if you need to regularly learn the latest update by no choice of yours. The software on your desktop is changed via a users choice and so can plan life around the change and learning curve. On Facebook, forced continual change will leave many hesitant to go too deep. On the other hand, it is possible the changes are meant to make it more difficult to do that which is more expensive or has the least pay off. By making the hurdles higher and buttons less obvious, maybe those less profitable will simply be forgotten.

Discouraging but since most are still in the learning curve, a new path of learning will not affect them much.
