I haven't been following Terminator but I did tune in for Dollhouse. Like you, I thought it was good but am hoping it matures into that special Whedon brand of awesome - that is, if Fox gives it a chance. Unfortunately studios and viewers these days seem to have the attention span of a gnat so we'll see whether Fox just chucks Dollhouse under the bus if its not a blockbuster smash inside a month.

And hey whats with the complaining about the short dress? You say it like its a BAD thing...

I had pretty much decided that unless the new Kindle looked like a giant turd, or they kept the price point at well over $300, I was going to finally get one. Oh well.

I'll wait until the price inevitably drops - even if it takes a year.

What a bunch of hypocrites. I read somewhere porn is a 12 BILLION DOLLAR a year industry. That's not 1 guy renting 12 billion pornos either. With that much dough on the table (and people behind the dough), who is actually offended by the WORD being uttered on TV?

I wanted to like Fringe SO much. I saw maybe 6 episodes and kept asking myself all the way through each one why I was bothering. I am not one to insist on hard science in my sci-fi, but some of the stuff they babble on about and expect us to just swallow is frankly ridiculous.

I gave up on Heroes halfway through the 2nd season, though my wife stuck with it. She gave up on it about 3 episodes into S3. Kring is an idiot - if the show were good, the delivery method wouldn't matter at all. People would be consuming it in a frenzy like the first 2 seasons of BSG.

I am interested by Ensign Ro/Admiral Kane showing up as well. I wonder if she's a demon or another shapeshifter or something. Maybe Tara's subplot will get interesting, I was about to give up on her.

I like Rene's character as well. It makes an odd sort of sense though - Jason tells him about the hippie chick being a fang-banger and blammo next thing you know she's dead. Just like the others.

With regards to TrueBlood I hope they get into exactly how the 'vampire court' is held and just what makes that Magister guy get to make all the decisions. He mentioned he was part of the Inquisition so he's old and (I guess) a badass - so I'm guessing it has to be a rule of force. I am hoping we get to see some of that. Like you said about Erik, why did he haul Bill's ass in? There's a reason, I just wish they let us in on it.

Might be unrelated but I had that happen to me once with a Cox owned DVR. Turned out the storage failed after a while. More and more shows started doing that and I ended up swapping the DVR with my cable company.

Have they figured out a way to grab nielson ratings data from DVRs yet? I'm guessing no, based on the RIDICULOUSLY short lifespans they give new series these days. It seems like unless they see blockbuster numbers out of the gate they pull it after a handful of episodes. I can only think that they MUST be missing some of the ratings data...

Right - he didn't say NO when she asked, so I'm thinking he has tried and can do it but is hesitant for some reason. That was a seriously kick-ass episode, although Tara is definitely in my 'most annoying characters on shows I like' pile now.

I forget the episode # but Sam was sitting reading the paper about a Starbucks coming to town when the Collie comes up to play. He even calls him 'brother'. He also has a picture of a Collie in his office.

So i guess that its maybe he's a shapeshifter and the Collie is another one? Or maybe he just feels a bond with the "other" dog because he can turn into one?

I haven't read the books, but I would bet all is explained soon.

They're dropping all kinds of hints about Sam not being what he seems. Like the last time we see him in this past episode. WTF was he up to? My guess is the Collie is somehow mind controlling him or something. Boy does that look stupid now that I typed it.

True Blood: good stuff. I've never read the books the show is based on so this is just my opinion, but I think the collie must be a shapeshifting vamp. Not sure who yet though...

MadMen is good but what they REALLY need to do is get Christina Hendricks on True Blood. Rawr.

The PS3 is the most expensive of the bunch out of the box, but it does seem to kick major ass in terms of specs....built in Wifi is cool, with the Xbox you have to buy a $100 adapter if your TV setup isn't near an RJ45 jack (lame).

The funny thing is I won't have ALOT of time to play - just sometimes. I'm leaning towards the Wii for this reason - we had lots of fun with it before as a family and it seems sort of silly for me to buy a $400 console that only offers about 10% of the fun potential for the rest of the gang.

Still - some of the games coming out this fall look pretty slick, and I dont think alot of them are showing up on the Wii...
