Nein, das ist nicht zynisch - Das kann man ganz einfach ausrechnen: Würde man das Geld der zweiten Röhre anderswo in Sicherheit investieren, dann könnte man viel mehr Leben retten. Zynisch ist also höchstens zu sagen, man baue die zweite Röhre wegen der Sicherheit !

Wenn Staat & Politik involviert sind, dann geht hier in #Indien ohne Korruption nichts. Gängige Praxis bei Staatsaufträgen ist, dass 10%-20% der Auftragssumme zusätzlich an die involvierten Politiker, und v.a. direkt an die Parteien bezahlt werden.
Wenn solche Fälle in die Presse kommen oder Firmen auf "Schwarze Listen" gesetzt werden, dann oft deshalb, weil sie sich besonders ungeschickt verhalten, und/oder andere Anbietern dies initiieren, um Konkurrenz auszuschalten.

Ob Schweizer Firmen da mitmachen sollen, ist die eine Frage: Die Alternative ist Rückzug, denn nur so funktionieren (staatliche) Märkte hier.
Sollen aber wirklich Bundesrat, Botschaft und Administration hier involviert werden? Wollen wir wirklich Steuergelder einsetzen, um Rüstungsfirmen bei Korruption zu unterstützen? Und ev. sogar ein Handelsabkommen verzögern?

Eigentlich sind die Grünliberalen gar nicht so schwer einzuordnen: Konsequent Liberal & Grün!
Grün bedeutet "Nachhaltig": Und zwar überall, also neben der Umwelt speziell auch bei den Finanzen. Und Liberal bedeutet nicht nur Wirtschafts-, sondern vor allem auch Gesellschafts-Liberal. Damit passt die glp vielleicht nicht gut ins Links-Rechts Schema, aber ein klares Profil hat sie damit.

Yes, a lot of people here get annoyed, as the 'world elite' occupies 'our' town (Davos is my native town & I did part of my schooling here) -
The relation of the natives to the WEF is rather mixed, many here do not like it, but most see of course the other side: the great value it brings to Davos. The hotel you see in many shots? its the only 5 star hotel here and does 30% of its annual (!!) revenue in these 5 days of the WEF ...

The main business model of Google is to link user content to relevant advertisements. Google is not a vendor of Enterprise Software (Like IBM, MS or Oracle) - But until Wave like tools will be successful in large Enterprises, it will take time, and before that, smaller groups of people will adapt it - and thats the area where Wave will probably be successful first -

The problem is not the amount of information, but THE CONTEXT - see your daily newspaper: Its a large amount of information, right? - but is it a problem? - No, because it is well CONTEXTUALIZED - Now imagine, one morning, you would get an unsorted pile of papers instead of your newspaper, each holding one single article. Yes, I think the marketing / sales may be the first to adapt Wave & similar technologies - It will take time, until this happens in a broader way, but there are a couple of large enterprises in healthcare too, which already use a Wave-like tool: http://colayer.com/PAGE_net

I doubt that this strategy will work out:

For me, this is one more hint that Anil Dash is actually right: Google Wave runs into a complexity problem! - And other systems will rather succeed, with similar concepts, but simpler technology - doing it 'the web way', and not 'the wave way' -
