I think Hollywood is trying to ease peoples' minds and souls with movies like these. The average US citizen is struggling to make ends meet, dealing with lousy bosses and a floundering economy. Entertainment like this offers an escape from the brutal reality.

I think the PSA folks wanted to warn us about the US economic situation using the symbols of an abused boy and dirty geezer since the real truth and straight talk about the state of our country would be too much for the average decent citizen to endure. This is a more sanitized version of the truth.

This creepy PSA flick might be a cautionary tale rich in veiled imagery.

The boy is a metaphor for the US economy and the dirty old geezer represents George Dubya Bush (and his folks) screwing and reaming the economy. We need to take action against this madness. The Reampublicans and Rapepublicans have gotten their way with our once strong economy for too long. The US economy was way better when it was under the control of Clinton (at least he chose to flirt with young adult ladies that weren't underaged.)
