I think it captures and represents the brand very cleanly and clearly. "B" is visually pleasing to me but I don't really get a sense of brand from it. "C", I just don't like it. I see some radio / broadcasting thing from the logo and I don't really get any sense of the brand that you are trying to communicate.

Re: Define a Social Media System for Yourself

Chris, very thought provoking post. I have increased my social media presence a lot this past year, and most of that was planned but I haven't sat down and put this level of analysis around my all my activities. I feel a blog post struggling to get out. Thanks!

Re: Dear Facebook- Please Attempt to be Tasteful

Depending on my mood the FB ads are entertaining or they drive me crazy, but I mostly just ignore them. I suppose I'll have to start trying the thumbs down feature and see if the ads get better. If FB wants to be a real ad platform it has to figure out the targeting, the random assortment of ads I see does not build confidence in its ability to serve ads effectively.

Re: 10 Promotional Mistakes Of New Bloggers

Jason, very good read and useful, I'm thankful @chrisbrogan referred me to your blog. I'm fairly new to blogging but not new to building brand, reputation and influence. For me, one of the key points (& I see this echo'ed in other comments here) is time. In our instant gratification and feedback world it's easy to think that influence should develop just as instantiously, but it's just not so. Over time you build experience, increase reputation and trust, and grow influence. I believe investing quality effort into that process is really the only way to build long lasting person brand.

Re: Get Your Google Profile Tidied Up

This is great info, I'd never noticed a Google profile, I went directly to my profile and it was there, but all it had was my name. Not that way anymore though!

thanks Chris

Re: Dear Bank of America

I used to bank with BoA, both personal and business accounts. 3 checking accounts, credit cards, ATM cards...quite a lot of business. I was never "happy" about the fees, service, etc. but it was reasonably acceptable. Then a few years ago it seemed like they made some major policy changes. They started putting holds on deposits for 10 days (does it really take 10 days for checks to clear, I don't think so), they started charging fees for fees, at least it seemed like it. The final straw was an incident with a cashiers check (you know, guaranteed funds) from my business partner. We moved some funds from one non-BoA account to our operating account to fund a time sensitive investment...when I deposited the cashiers check they didn't say anything but put a 10 day hold on the funds. Two days later when I tried to send an international wire transfer they informed me of the hold and refused to remove it. I spent the better part of 3 days trying to make sense out of their actions both on the phone and in person and eventually got the hold removed...no apology or explaination. Holding certified funds did it for me. I moved all my accounts to Union Bank of CA, a smal bank, not some many branches but they're friendly, they don't charge me for everything and their policies are reasonable and consistent.
