first of all Batman isnt a SUPERhero, he's a smart rich guy that trained himself to be strong as hell so theres no SUPER villan. Harvey Dent was a prick thats why people gloss over him, he was just an angry burned guy that didnt get what he wanted, besides Heath died (in actuallity of course) so he is going to be the main focus for a while. it was filmed in Chicago because New York is getting dumb and Gotham is a shitty city as well as many parts of Chicago. Perfect fit my friend. the movie wasnt as bright as your saying and besides it means within the characters not the actual filming. its not like they're chillin' at the beach in Miami or something. the hospital wasnt the only one there, there were like 7 or something. its not the blowing up of the hospital its the killing of the people and the mindfucking of harvey. Bale's voice is changed so noone knows he is Bruce Wayne and the joker doesn't get watered down because he always did something diffrent and his mind worked so diffrently than any normal person it was pretty crazy and intense but a douche like you wouldnt get it because your wound up in crappy american sluge for brains movies.

awsome review, the movie was great...no it was freakin perfect! i couldnt agree with you more about taking out the bullshit "comic book for kids" label and slapping it with a creepy realism. its as if you can truly feel what the actors feel because they were great and it was awsome psychologically. whatever asshole said there was holes in the movie obviously wasnt paying attention, all the bases were covered and everything had its purpose. just because it wasn't one of those lame ass movies thats ridden with explosions, naked bitches and stupid macho-man sayings doesnt mean its a crap movie. movies have no heart and worth now its hard to find a movie where the directors and screenwriters say hey fuck the typical expected batman bullshit, lets go give 'em a movie. it is greatly appreciated and anybody that has sense thanks them for bringing this to the big screen.
