I'm on a Mac too.

Yes, I do own a Kindle 2, and an iPhone too! And I live in Singapore. So if I have no problems buying gift vouchers with my Singapore issued credit card, I don't think others should have to.

If you've really looked at and touched the Kindle 2, you won't want to read any books on any other device anymore. The first time I saw the print/fonts on the Kindle, I thought it was a dummy set! Because they looked very much like the print/fonts of a normal book. And the best thing is, you can increase and decrease the font size, which a normal book can't! And unlike iPhone or a computer screen, it has ZERO glare; therefore it's not as straining to the eyes.

I don't think Amazon will remove the options of downloading books to the computer. Reason being there are thousands of Americans living outside of USA and there's a high chance that many of them own a Kindle.

Therefore, if they were to do that, Americans who own a Kindle and live outside USA will be screaming 'cos they can't get their Kindle books anymore!

This is just my personal logical opinion. :)

I don't think this is true. As I'm seeing two options on my computer. Namely, :
Download/Send to...
Computer
My Kindle

The reason you're not seeing the options could be due to:

1. You don't own a Kindle yet;
2. You're using IE 8; or
3. Both of the above.

A: No. I bought my Kindle 2 with a Singapore issued credit card.

Q. How should the register of the Kindle be made? Do I have to connect the Kindle to my PC? Is there a code I should put into my new account?

A: Once you bought it under your account, it's already registered.

You may like to know that I did not create a new account. I used my old account. I just deleted my credit card information and all other information that pertains to me being not living in the United States.
