I had this issue back in May with my 6 Plus. Yes, the Genius Bar told me there was nothing that could be done other than buying another phone because it was out of warranty. Pressing on the upper corners of the screen would make the phone work for a few minutes and then it would go back to the phantom touch. Really sucked when it would happen as you were typing a message and then the keyboard would go nut and send gibberish out.

I'm having the same issue. In IE8 I can see the video box, but when I hit play I only get audio. Did you find a solution for this?

Not going to argue on the start-up culture, but two quick points I want to make about NYC in general.

1) Rent has significantly gone down since 2005. I'm paying less than you did for an apartment more than double the size of yours on the Upper East Side (in the mid 80's; not Spanish Harlem). Yes, rent is still more expensive than most places, but you are living in New York City. What do you expect?

2) Re: no one cooking for you. You either a) just had crappy friends or b) didn't know the right people. Next time you visit NYC, contact me and you'll get a nice home-cooked meal.

While I was too young to do any prep or back any data up for Y2K (I was a sophomore in high school at the time), I do have a funny story regarding NYE that year. My uncle had a party at his home for NYE and had a bunch of people over. He has always been the prankster of the family, and this year was no different. When the countdown was at :30, he went to the basement where the circuit breaker was. He could hear everyone in the house counting down, "5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Happy.. AHHHHH!!!!!!" Right as the clock struck midnight, he killed all the power in the house. People were screaming, freaking out that Y2K had actually happened. It took about a minute before someone went outside to find the rest of the houses on the street still had power. Needless to say, he was not the most popular person that night.

I'll start by saying I'm not going to rip your head off, haha. However, I think your logic only works for start-ups or privately held companies. Not to single out Brooklyn, but what do a bunch of hipster operating out of a loft know about compiling with SEC guidelines for public companies and working under Reg FD? Or how to deal with the FDA during clinical trials? As I said to you on Twitter, there is a lot more that goes on in PR than just dealing with the media. I would love to see an agency that specializes in social media or the digital world deal with insider trading, M&As, protesters, etc.

I think traditional agencies will have a much easier time learning the online world than a digital agency will have learning SEC legal mumbo jumbo.

This is a great step for Posterous. Seeing as the Posterous team is constantly making the service better (like making videos playable on the iPhone), I'm sure they're working on updating the app already. Nice job guys.

I've been using the Incase for a few months now. I bought it for use during a 3 day music festival and was very happy that my 3G was able to last all day each day. The previous year, my BlackBerry would be dead by 3pm, and that's not good when you are trying to meet up with people after a show.

My only complaint with the case is that it seems to muffle sound when recording video on the 3GS.

I have to disagree. This might be the case is some instances, but you could not pull off a Twitter Press Conference with a publicly traded company. The SEC would be all over that like white on rice. Imagine if Bank of America tried this when they acquired Merrill Lynch.

With the PR climate is changing, practitioners need to be careful on advice they give and receive the community. While something might work for a fashion client or a new tech start-up, they won't for others who deal with regulatory bodies that are not up on new technology. The press conference and press release are here to stay, at least for the foreseeable future.

Regarding your third point, I haven't had an issue with apps overriding my music. True when I start an app up it turns off the song I was listening to, but if you hit play on your headphones, your music will begin to play again and the app's music will turn off. This has worked for every game I have (Scrabble, Wolfenstein, Tiger Woods, etc.).
