"In 1988, former Monkee-turned-movie producer Michael Nesmith, who’d done okay for himself with a few off-kilter comedies, received the script for something called Tapeheads..." No. The movie WAS PRODUCED in 1988, so that's not only false, but impossible. "...the film was financed by NBC as an NBC project, so any indie cred goes straight down the crapper right there." Fiscally troubled DeLaurentiis Entertainment Group originally financed the film, but by the time the film was finished it was tied up in bankruptcy proceedings until Avenue Pictures agreed to distribute the film in the fall of 1988. The NBC financing came about with the production of the DVD ... in 2010. Also, there's no such thing as "pre-packaged cult film formula". Any film, in any time-period or genre, can become a cult film. Just because you "pre-package" a film to summon a following doesn't mean it will gain one. There's plenty more holes in this post, but you get the gist.

Re: Happy birthday to me (and my type-ity type type) on #july6

Tank youse Julian, I appreciate your confidence. ;)

Re: A Vibrator Story (like A Christmas Story, only completely different)

And now we have even more things in common!
