So I found the issue and fix for this in my case. (Isn't great when you can answer your own question?) Was running Sublime Text 2 and had the LiveReload package installed which upon starting Sublime Text starts listening on port 35729. Uninstalling the LiveReload package (cmd-shift-p, remove package, LiveReload) eliminated the port conflict.

Getting the same Grunt Watch error, "Waiting...Fatal error: Port 35729 is already in use by another process." Running MAMP. Restarting doesn't clear it. Did you find a fix for this? Thanks!

Is the risk only in hiring sole proprietors? What if the contractor has established herself as a corporation or LLC?

The article and comments thus far make complete sense. Just cancelled my Amazon Bamboo stylus order (thanks for saving me $29). I think we're all excited at the prospect of note taking and drawing on iPad. I hope Apple picks up on this and includes supporting technologies (active digitizers, etc.) in future Apple products.
