Sorry you think that there has been "no change" in our lives since Kenya. Thankfully, that isn't true! God is doing amazing things in our hearts and....slowly....we're changing. It's a beautiful thing to be a part of. We're thrilled to share about the process with you all.

Sorry there continues to be confusion here:) He didn't "not pay the fine because he didn't have the income to do it." He didn't pay it out of laziness. And that was certainly not being a good steward of our money, he'd be the first to agree.

I wasn't angry or full of hatred at all when I wrote what I did. He's not totally mature. Neither am I. We're thankful for God and the journey He has us on. Sorry I came across to you as having an unguarded tongue, but I'm comfortable with what I said here:)

To be fair, my husband has, is and will take responsibility for his actions. When he chooses to avoid calling in about his tint, he'll have to deal with having a suspended license and paying a fine. If he were asserting, "This law is dumb and I don't care if I get caught and I'm not going to take responsibility and pay the fine if I do," I could see your point. But he isn't doing that. He chose to make a mistake and now he's having to own up to it.

And as far as grace not covering us when we "know" better, thankfully that is not true:) We know sin is sin, and yet we still do it. And grace covers us, even when we know we shouldn't have done "it." God doesn't only forgive us when we had no idea we were sinning. He forgives us even when we did it on purpose. He's amazing like that.

Ugh, sorry guys. I didn't even know that they considered themselves "Christian." I apologize! My understanding was that none of their work was done "in Jesus' name" like with Compassion and that sharing about Christianity was not part of their mission. I don't think that it is, but apparently they have "Christian" roots and consider themselves such. Sorry for not realizing that and for using the words "not religiously affiliated" when that is not technically true. :(

Sure, he's matured some, but not enough:) I can agree to that. I didn't care for the joke one bit. But oh, well. I still love him, so does God and thank the Lord that He's not finished with him yet. Or with me, for that matter. It's all a process and we're thankful for the chance to be able to share that process with all of you.

I'm sorry you're disappointed. The "generous reader" and I had many talks about the best way to move forward, and we both agreed this was a great way to do it. She doesn't feel taken advantage of and is happy to be involved. We thought this would have the greatest impact. Besides, to let everyone know it was on my other page, I'd have to post about it here, anyway, so the traffic here would be the same. I'm sorry you think I'm sketchy. I'm off to email you so we can chat about it further if you want;)

Sorry you misunderstood:) My husband meant that even though "his money is ours and my money is ours, still..." or whatever he said, that he is bringing in less income through his business currently than I am. So when he said that he personally didn't have the money to pay for the ticket, he meant that he hasn't gotten a check through his business lately and "he" technically can't pay for it. Our money is ours in our family, but I know that he feels bad that it's not technically money that "he" earned that will pay his fines. Does that make sense? Sorry that wasn't more clear. He wasn't trying to be deceptive or lie;)

I have checked:) Sounds as if Feed The Children's board let the president go some time ago when they were no longer comfortable with the way he was handling things within the charity. That seems to me like a smart move and that the board handled things well by letting him go. From what I know of how they've handled themselves, I stand behind this charity:)

I see the point you're trying to make, but as long as we're human, "they're" going to have ammo. No matter what we do or don't do. Our job is to live for Jesus, strive to be more like Him, accept His gift of forgiveness. Even Jesus was perfect and people still made up "ammo" against Him. So, while I'd like to see your point, I think that isn't the reason we should act the way we do...to not give someone "ammo." We should live how God wants us to...and that's what we strive to do:)
