There are successful digital practitioners (note that I didn't say "social media experts") out there who are over the age of 18. Some whom might be worth interviewing here...

Re: Rotnem: The Bass-ackwards PR Scam Also Employed by Ad Biz - mediabistro.com: AgencySpy

Not exactly sure how using a consumer-friendly chat program that has been available since 1995 makes you a "social media expert" given that there's more to digital strategy than just having hours of conversations with a limited circle of friends online, but hey, maybe there's something to it if the "ze biggest [agency] in all ze verld" has decided this is the way to go...

Re: AT&T to Launch MMS for iPhone September 25

Does anyone else think it's unlikely that AT&T's network will be able to handle all of the additional usage resulting from the MMS update to the iPhone?

Re: andrew graham

It becomes Wednesday when you disconnect your iPod?

Re: Paint The Town Red - J-School Students Given 4-Day Deadline to Write Online News Story

Seamus,

Wasn't trying to sound elitist and I apologize if it came across that way. Simply put, when I was applying for graduate school to study Medieval Europe, I had to make clear that I had an understanding of Latin in order to be accepted into the program.

Also, if the online story had to be crowdsourced, then I did miss that part of the article.

Matt

Re: General Public Stalker is the new Celebrity Stalker

They could be if someone you know is religiously reading them and lets you know about it. More people used to blog about more minor things. In fact, one party could be blogged multiple times. Eventually, that gave way to sites that covered parties entirely, GuestofaGuest, Just An Online Minute, etc. I think the same thing could happen to Twitter.

Re: Why social media makes things worse than they really are.

Over time, as social-media tools like Twitter become more established, I think that we'll see fewer people repeating the same small items like Tumblr going down and more of a focus on unique events, thoughts, and comments that give users' friends, fans, followers, etc. something to think about.

Re: Attending EVERYTHING

Kristin is absolutely right. Unless you're a big fan of Red Bull and making one-hour "cameo" appearances, there's certainly no way to attend everything.
