I agree in the sense that this is not the way that everyone consumes content but there is an audience out there that lives for the live in the moment experience. Especially the ones that give you, the viewer, the chance to add value to the moment by chatting, asking questions, supporting and encouraging the broadcaster. This is where I think it will be compelling to people. If it's a topic you have an interest in; you may very well respond to the notification for the simple reason of adding your two cents to the experience.

Let me ask you this - if I sent out a program calendar that captured Mills Monday Leadership Meeting Broadcast dates/time - would you tune in or watch later?

I appreciate how you write about leaving a professional discipline - not a company/friends, etc. Not sure if you intended to imply as much but it screams awesome character to me.

I think people get stuck all the time and for a plethora of reasons some controllable while others just have bad luck. The key as you suggest is having the courage to self-examine and really listen to the answer. But equally if not more important - feel the fear and do it anyway!

Thank you for the feedback. Love Purple Cow - one of my favorite books.

It's interesting - I would think the same thing about the toothpaste. But the story is not novel - I read it in a book. And it was germane to the Four Seasons in Dubai. Service workers at the hotel are trained to notice very subtle details - and the feedback is off the charts. People love it.

You might be right - creepy could be the reality for some but for others it might just be that 'one thing' that sets you apart from the community at large. It may be the difference maker when it comes time for renewal.

I wrote about another example of this a couple years ago. The idea consisted of our in-house service team memmbers taking time to clean kitchens and or bathrooms after a simple dripping faucet or leaking sink repair.

All that being said - I do get that some things are just not practical...

Love your passion and thanks for taking time out of your otherwise busy day to add to the conversation.

Hope all is well with you!

I think that the more connected we all become; the more disconnected we will be. Let me use eating out as an example. Walk into any eating establishment today and look around. What do you see? People looking at their devices. Kids have a phone or a tablet to keep them under control. Parents are sucked into facebook or texting. No real conversation happening. Nothing of substance anyway. They are completly disconnected from reality.

I think that will carry over to all facets of life at some point to include looking for a place to live. No touching and feeling necessary or wanted for that matter. I for one would love this because I don't have to waste time traveling from space to space. And, I have a real disdain for salespeople. I imagine this technology allowing me to opt out of talking to a salesperson; if I so chose. That said, I know I'm likely in the minority on this. But - hey, every majority starts with a minority...

Should be fun to watch.

You rock Mary! Well done. There is comfort in tension when you learn to ignore the inner critic and the outer influence of the masses. It's hard work to walk in the uniqueness of who you are and what your true intention is in this world! I applaud you for making a choice to be the difference that makes a difference in 2015 and beyond.

I am 100% with you on this point. The only time I give titles any mention is when adversity rears its ugly head. That is not to suggest that the guy/gal with the biggest piece of cheese has to be the decision maker. But you do need some sense of triage to keep the order. Outside of that - we are all on the same team - headed for the same goal! #gameon

It's counterintuitive and likely highly unpopular but I concur - love the man where he is. It's highly appropriate to force the issue of selling the team and leveling monetary punishment on the man. That fits.

In the end, he failed to break a cycle born well before his time on this earth. He failed to see the pain and the hurt he leveled on others; be it one conversation removed or many conversations removed. Be it in private or be it in public.

The court of public opinion will play its course but the real test comes for each of us -every morning when we rise from pause and slumber; are you bringing the change you want to see in the world? Are you brining the love? Or, are you bringing discord and hate? Certainly use this event as a way to educate yourself and imbue love in the minds of those you have influence with. But let the cosmic forces of the universe level judgement on Sterling.
