Well worth it. I wouldn't quite call the new domination mode endless though as things do technically end when you destroy the last rival tribe. Personally I'd like to see endless go a step further in not only allowing this but allowing space to fully develop your civ (every square developed sort of thing).

Re: The Short History of Emails Apps

I didn't see Postbox on the list. Super moist. Now, my flour mix was a bit more cassava which is itself good for making things moist so some of it could be from that.

Re: Raspberry Ricotta Gluten Free Breakfast Cake

question: have marscapone on hand but no ricotta. would it make a viable substitute?

Re: Beyond FF7 - The 7 biggest JRPG franchises we want to see on iOS and Android next | Feature

Star Ocean & ChronoCross please please please!

Re: 'TwoDots' Review - Connecting Dots Is Still A Beautiful Thing

loved dots; hated this primarily because of how dependent on luck it is and how aggressively they try to monetize said luck. deleted within 24hrs.

Re: Our BIG Adventure: South Africa, Going for It, Exciting New Book Deal, and a Few Questions for YOU!

1. I'd love for you to meet my crew in All Nations. Our Africa "hub" is located in Noordhoek. We focus on raising up leaders from neglected communities for neglected communities. I was there until moving to East Africa a couple of weeks ago to start a new AN work here.

2. The main touristy things are worth it (Robben Island, Table Mountain, Cape Point). Other than that we loved the 2 saturday markets in Tokai (Forest Market & Earth Fair Food Market) and the Old Biscuit Mill on saturday mornings (in woodstock). It's worth seeing the differences of SA: if you hook up with any AN people have them give you a respectful introduction to some of the communities we work in. You could go to Cape Town and completely miss the townships if you wanted. There is a lot more but that will get you started.

3. See #2 if you connect with AN there is a lot of different potentials. See two of our ministries here: thebabysafe.org & http://childrenofpromiseafr...

4. First make sure it's unlocked. Your original contract with AT&T needs to be up or you need to be able to sweet talk them. Once that's done, all you have to do is go and get a SIM card. I've used all major cell providers in SA and would recommend Vodacom for coverage. If you get them, you won't likely have an issue any where. Cell C is another good option: their customer service is world's better than the other options but their coverage isn't quite as good. Avoid MTN like the plague.

5. Our office would know the answer to this. Unfortunately I don't.

6. The housing market is rough at the moment (hard to get) so you might have a bit of difficulty finding a short term lease. I'd start looking on gumtree (gumtree.co.za) now.

7. This is super tricky in SA, due to visa restrictions. It would be almost impossible to get a job as an educator from my understanding. You could however volunteer (potentially at a place like the schools in the townships that DO need help). The one US teacher I know that's being paid in a school is actually being paid by a UK consortium and isn't allowed by the school to teach students rather just to train teachers. It's a big hurdle.

8. Your best bet ATM is to get a combo of ADSL and 3G. ADSL through mweb (if you have a permanent place) will get you good speeds. 3G works well too, but is really expensive. There are various places you can go (internet cafes) but their are kind of a mixed bag. I used our office for anything super important.

9. Not local, sorry :(

10. Definitely.

Re:

Mailmate is far superior to postbox/airmail/sparrow/mail.app in many way. If you add a bunch of addons to mail.app, you can get at some of the functionality (but you end up spending just as much to add on to an app rather than having it natively baked in). Smart Mailboxes alone is a life saver. Then you add on markdown/intelligent sigs/filtering/tagging/thread arcs & conversational view and woah. Anyways. Just find your comment interesting.

Re:

After a day I went crazy and removed the gigs of space of email from postbox & mail.app as I saw no reason to go back. I'm hoping for a successful campaign and an exciting 2.0 launch in the future.

Re: Kindle Ebooks – 10 Recommended Bargains for June 2012

I like how #8 becomes a stylish, sunglasses wearing smiley face :)

Re: Order & Chaos Online Review

Didn't see it in the article, but what kind of data usage can we expect with this game? If you like deals (and sites like groupon/living social/etc) check it out and sign up using my affiliate link. If not, no worries -- this is the only time I'll send out an email invite.

much love from the Joneses,
Brandon

Moolala offers an incredible deal that saves you 50-90% every day! And they have an amazing rewards program that pays you every time you or anyone you refer buys a deal.

I'm already a member, and I'm inviting you. Personally I agree with you but the market is the market...and it likes it. It reminds me of a friend who opted out of internships while pursuing an engineering degree. Upon getting said degree, couldn't find a job because people wanted experience. His options then became "more education" or crappy non-engineering jobs (PhD won out). It goes to show though that those pieces of paper (degrees) mean less and less in an age where we all have limitless information at our fingertips.

We are doing good. After all in the age of google everyone can be an expert about anything.

Part of me says this coming from a field where degrees mean very little (IT/Tech) compared with practical, "real world" experience and some common sense.

Another part of me says this as I think employers could prefer in fact the scrub credentials as it may very well mean less pay with the same expectations. So they look good for hiring MBA's but it's cost has been half the price (and because of the prevalence and ease of access to information, they can expect the same degree of work).

Re: Story ‘09 | Skye Jethani

I just got Divine Commodity and am reading it now. It may be the most important book I've read in a long time.

Re: mbjones

Blah Blah Blah BLAHHHHHHH
