Dennis Miller went on Jay Leno and made strong point about the McCain/Palin ticket, which he is voting for. I felt he made valid points as to why he is voting for them and agree with him based on how he presented the situation. I don't think there is a wrong or a right, but stirring up excitement about an election and debating with people is always positive for society. I'll be voting for Obama/Biden hands down, but that's mostly because I feel that most countries looking in on America need to see an obvious "CHANGE" .. which btw McCain is now using in his campaign and Obama used from the start. I think having a leader that can communicate clearly and bring a modern collegiate look to the table is what other countries need to see to help us better our foreign relations all across the board. My point, if SNL can easily attack Palin, what does that say, that other countries are ignorant and won't see the same things?? Let's up the anty, we already screwed over RON PAUL (who every single person in media respects with advice on the economy.. which is the major problem we have right now) in the preliminary debates and McCain sneared at him like he was senile. I won't forget how McCain viewed Ron Paul, sorry John. Not flaming on anybody, just sharing my thoughts!! EVERYBODY GO SEE BILL MAHER'S RELIGULOUS. HE ROCK'S! libertarian out. end rant.

Re: Body Farm — Texas State opens research facility

For additional information, contact Jerry Melbye at (512) 245-2472 or via email at dr4n6@txstate.edu.

Re: City Council approves increased wrecker service fees

The 'information' will be tailored more towards a professional news site in the near future. I completely agree with you but unfortunately the universitystar.com is currently hindered by :
1. Current Drupal Module v6 support
2. Insufficient AJAX/PHP/Actionscript programmers on staff

The focus at this point is to simply get content online while training the staff on how to work with CMS/CRM software.
The next step will be to re-design the site based on the issue you touched on, as well as implementing new future media content.

If you are interested in helping the Star in any way, please stop by and pickup an application. Drive down Post Rd. and take left on Limekilm. Take left on Hillard. Go all way down Hillard (4-5 mi) til a Y and go left. Follow around staying left til it dead ends. Park up top or go down steep cliff with a truck. Pay em the 5 dollars and have a blast.

Re: Noise policies face changes

I agree. There has to be some better way to handle noise violations. The idea of having neighbors simply call police without sometimes even calling or going to the person's home/apt is 1. waste of police time and 2. waste of money (if you open the door :-)). I am all for dealing with noise in some manner so that the general public aren't disturbed. My opinion, neighbors need to establish better relationships with their own neighbors to sort out things before even getting the police involved in the first place, keeping them free to due REAL police work. Do people realize noise complaints cost a boatload (>$600)?? So before you call enforcement next time, why not have lunch with your neighbors and discuss things, I'd rather give a gift to a hassling neighbor (say $100) on a night when I'm throwing a scheduled party etc. as a favor, but ultimately it boils down to COMMUNICATION.. or BREAKDOWN thereof.. so lets all meet are neighbors and socialize (great for NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH too for crime, when you know your neighbors.) k end rant. late.
