I suspect that I'm not known for being a wallflower, so I'll just jump in.

Currently a partner in ThreadBear Fiber Arts Studio in Lansing, Michigan, my education was in mathematics and computer science, and my work experience has primarily been in advertising/marketing and web development. I'm known primarily for making simple concepts infinitely more complicated (I'll blame the computer science background) and generally getting really interesting results. I've always had a strong creative bent that was rather systematically attacked through the American public school system because I was good at math.

I live with my partner and two dogs in Lansing, Michigan, but I hail--very obviously upon hearing me speak--from west central Georgia. You can drive to Alabama in under ten minutes from the house I grew up in, though, frankly, I can't imagine why you'd want to. (Go Dawgs!)

Currently, I'm trying to balance my intense desire to design knitwear as well as really interesting fabric with my significant responsibilities in operating a relatively large yarn shop.
