This summer we will be planting hops for my husband to use in his beer making. We already have 3 grape vines growing in the backyard and 2 fig trees. We're also going to try to grow tomatoes in the house hydroponically.

If you like mysteries and love cats you should read the series by Rita Mae Brown, "The Mrs. Murphy Mysteries". They're partly told from the cat's point of view. Makes you stop and wonder what the animals in our lives are really thinking about us.

I wouldn't knit a thing since I can't really knit, but I found some really beautiful patterns for crocheted sweaters and I would love to try one for myself.
