Please do not give up hope in the system. Ms. Robertson will make an excellent judge and I will be waving signs for her. Federal Way's troubles are coming to an end soon. Keep on watching and holding candidates accountable. You are performing a wonderful service.

It is my understanding that to this point Mr. Morgan has not reimbursed any agencies for costs of litigation. I do not think it was ordered. The end amount spent by Federal Way was over $100,000.00.

Here is a copy of the exact email I sent Judge Morgan.

"I have been having a discussion with a Federal Way voter about your voter pamphlet statement. In it you state that you have been rated 'exceptionally well qualified' and that you have been endorsed by a long list of people. One of them suggested that I write you directly with some of our questions. When were you and who rated you exceptionally well qualified? Are those endorsements for the 2005 race or for the current 2009 race?

Thank you for your comment I understand your concern.

I accept support from any member of the bar in good standing. If Mr. Malaier has any bar complaints because of the incident you write of I would be happy to read more. It is my understanding that Mr. Malaier did nothing wrong in the situation but have an employee with poor judgment. There does not exist a manager who cannot say the same thing. Mr. Malaier simply wished to witness a change in the court. He is not the first person to wish for this. As he actually witnessed the forums, I thought that his statement may enlighten some who missed the entire event.

Again, I appreciate your input and understand why you may not agree with my choice to use Mr. Malaier's endorsement. I encourage you to visit my website and read some of the other endorsements.

Thank you for another great comment. I’m glad to see somebody is reading this. I’ll try to respond as best I can.

I cannot. King County does offer more services, but it comes at a cost and those extra services are still available in the district court in Kent. I stated that I thought District Court was well run but in my opinion the extra services do not outweigh the extra expense and lack of versatility.

"King County’s courts are open through the lunch hour, Federal Way isn’t. It’s very poor for customers trying to get their business done during their lunch hour."

You are correct, that is a weakness of the municipal court system. If your priority is to save someone a drive to Kent then you should support a District Court conversion. If your priority is to have a court that makes money and is more flexible to economic downturns and fluctuations in crime levels then municipal court is what you want.

Neither do other municipal courts that are not Federal Way. The drama in Federal Way stems directly from a lack of proper management and improper conflict resolution. That is why I believe the next judge should have these skills in order to repair the damage done.

First off, thank you for the comment. As to what you say I am honestly not trying to side step the question. The truth of the matter is that I will need to get an inside look in order to determine exactly what the problem is. I am also asserting that someone with management experience will be able to diagnose the situation more effectively and is more likely to act in an appropriate manner. As for Judge Larson’s investigation I stand by my statement that I would have suggested to him to use an independent investigation.
