Weather is not climate. Geologic time scales are different than year to year changes we have a historical record for.

Also, your headline is a diminution of every logical explanation by implying that every conclusion drawn is that we are all going to die soon. The impact of the climate changing is defintely worth noting, since it significantly affects our lives. Ever live through a 100 year flood? Or a 1000 year flood? Those events are cyclical in nature.

The argument that we are driving climate change is best answered by isotopes. The geological record vs. recent history. 100,000,000 year ranges vs. 100,000yrs -1,000,000 year ranges. With this you can verify changes in the carbon and oxygen isotopes, and correlate that to changes in the environment. Remember for a significant life of the earth there was a completely different atmosphere. Volcanic events that changed the weather for 1000s of yeas, and periods where the earth was essentially a giant snowball. We have kept track of the oil sold. So we can compare our research with the factual information about how much greenhouse gases we produce, and add that to the overall carbon budget we know from measuring natural processes, and have a pretty good idea about the buffering systems that exist (is. The ocean)... when you put all that information together, it doesn’t matter if you are stupid... if you have the patience to look at it all, it is more convincing than anything you could possibly say, based on your experience as one human being, who can’t fathom, no offense, the magnitude of the natural and “unnatural” changes to our atmosphere and environment at large, especially considering the time scales we have to include in any reasonable discussion of climate, period.
