I went to the 4th celebration in Collegedale a few years back, that was probably the best I've been to. Great symphony w/ classic and modern selections. They played Star Wars music during the fireworks... A lot of military personnel on hand and some politicos, Zach Wamp was there among others. Nothing special, just music and explosions.

For lack of a better word... all of the negative comments are dumb.

You're going to let some quotes from Barack Obama ruin your whole night? Because you know, there's plenty of good music, and food, and fireworks... and oh yeah, you're family. Which may include children who are having an absolute blast, running around w/ sparklers and glow sticks, not caring whose voice is playing during the music.

If it was mash-up of quotes from Obama/McCain or any leading Dem/Repub figures, I'm sure this guy would have hailed it as the greatest pops ever.

Geeze, "It put a sour taste in my mouth about attending any future Pops." Grow a pair.

5 years ago, few people believed that a simple car could make a city larger... There was a lot of skepticism... But now, 5 Years later, Volkswagen has sold over a million cars to men of all ages around the world.

That's because the German engineering in a Volkswagen has been scientifically proven to increase the size of that certain part of southern Tennessee.

If Volkswagen DIDN'T do something amazing... Could we afford to do this?

Heh, Swine Flu.. it's still spreading like wildfire... It's really bad in Australia. But woooosshhh. American media doesn't cover it so it doesn't exist. I wish there would be like, an environmental scare or a hunger scare... We could get so much accomplished if the media spent a fraction of the effort they showed the swine flu.
