This looks just like Epic Astro Village, which I did not like nearly as much as prior games by them. Can anyone tell me if this is any better?

As a desktop 18" is too small, but Windows 8 does have great multi-display capability. I could see using this as a desktop machine with a 21" display beside it, then picking it up to be used as a (very large) android tablet.

Get the Otterbox case for your iPad. I got one and I no longer cringe when I see my 2 year old carrying it around. In fact, I once witnessed her pick it up over her head and throw it down on the floor after a fight over it with her brother in a fit of "if I can't have it, no once can" and the case did it's job perfectly!

This is Leon's blog and he's allowed to say whatever the hell he wants to say on it. Also, when I last checked, CODODN was a free conference and you're also free to go to whatever sessions you want. I bet RubyLover didn't even go to Leon's session. What a tool. Get a life.

Leon, the fact that some people out there want you to shut up means you're making them uncomfortable, which in my book is a good thing. Keep it up!

That's very true, and a good alternative stance.

It is much the same as something I said a few times yesterday about patterns - they're guidelines, not rules.

Just like "don't be a plumber" the real trick is to understand the meaning behind the advice enough that you know when to break it.
