I am not sure how Hodgson is defining agency, so the comparison is not clear to me. In my depiction of the landscape diagram, I feel the lower left corner is constrained - there is a lot swirling around me and there is time pressure, so I feel I have limited options (stress!). But if I can move away from that corner, new options and insight appear. Would love to know more about what you see in comparing the two models.

Re: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Work Requires Uncertainty

Glad it resonates with you, and thanks for your note about quick decisions...a little more time for meaning-making, individually and with others can be well worth the delay!

Re: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Work Requires Uncertainty

Glad to have you here, Hoffie. I have been playing with these sliders for a while, and am learning a lot about how to see the world with less certainty. It can be difficult yet I like how it opens up possibilities.

Re: When letting go means opening up . . .

Thanks, Susan! Thank you for going so deep...what a generous soul you are to share.

I have been somewhat away from twitter and other social media for about a month, and to come back today to find this message is quite powerful. Totally kick ass in fact! A small side note - I am a People-to-People alum. It is exciting to know you will bring much wisdom and soul to your new role with EPAX.

Re: http://theantisocialmedia.com/post/1524717412

Really happy for you Jay! And for us, too - now that you'll be fully immersed in social media, we'll get even more opportunities to learn right along with you. Your point of view is really refreshing and needed. Have a blast and don't be too sad about leaving the file room forever behind you :( ----> :)

Re: Jay Dolan dot net - (I’ve Had) The Time of my Life - Bill Medley and...

My first visit here - to see such a sweet post. I am facing the same with my parents lately.
I heard an interview this morning on the BBC with a man of 103 (he still works), and a subsequent discussion on how the aging process is a failure of the body to keep all systems running. I knew this, but it is hit me in a different way today. Thanks for posting this!
