Depends on where you live. NYC it opens today. Portland OR, and Austin TX the 13th. After that we'll look to expand to more cities. Demand it in your city.

hahaha...hell yeah the movie is on a dvd, but not for the public. :) my last film was uploaded to the internet illegally and was downloaded thousands of times. to me, that is stealing. so, i'm being very extra careful about dvd screeners. and actually no - my folks haven't seen the film yet. maybe at thanksgiving i'll lure them to the tv for a private screening.

i'll keep everyone updated about a patchogue screening. just know that patchogians are all over splinterheads - esp. the amazing steve scenes. lots of close ups there.

First off, let me offer our thanks again to you if you were one of the many Patchogue residents who helped us out by being an extra in our movie. We are extremely appreciative. While we would like nothing more than to be able to show the film in Patchogue to everyone who helped us out and contributed to the film, we have made inquiries into the local theaters, and they are all cost prohibitive for us at the moment. We will continue to work on securing a theater in or near Patchogue to show the film. In the meantime, I'm afraid that the only way to see the film in the theater is to come to New York. If our first couple of weeks of theatrical release are successful the film will be given a wider release and we will hopefully expand to Long Island. If you have any ideas or resources in the Patchogue area for us to set up a free screening for participants we would be more then happy to set it up. We have already explored the Patchogue Theater, the Amphitheater and the local multiplexes. Thanks again for your excitement about seeing the film we look forward to showing it to you."

And from me - Heide Miss Troublemaker! I'd love to show it there, but you have to remember - we're an independent film. There is no studio cash cow supporting us. We're opening 1 theater at time. Everything we're doing is grass roots and with a very small budget. If we can do well in NYC then we would def look to play in Long Island. Also, all the DVD talk from everybody - since when does a movie get shot, edited, premiered and released on DVD all within a year. All the movies that are out now were shot 2 years ago. I think we've been moving pretty quickly, no? So, the plan so there's no more confusion is that we're opening in NYC next weekend and will play for one week (not just on the weekend all week too). If we do well, then we're going to look for a wider release. We have to see how the theatrical run goes before we consider releasing the DVD. We do need to make back some money. Whew!!! Are we good? Everyone is so mad and we're doing the best that can.

JB - Honestly, we need our opening weekend to be big. If you live or know anybody around the NYC area please tell them to check out the movie Nov. 6th - 13th at Regal Union Square. If we do well and prove that people are seeing the movie they'll open us with a wider release. We've had people set up Splinterheads Facebook events, blogging, twittering, etc. Anything you can do would be amazing and very much appreciated. Thanks - Brant

Thanks, we changed it up a bit. The DVD release won't be until sometime next year. We gotta do the theaters thing first. I imagine early 2010.

Sorry...I've been working 15 hour days trying to finish the film in time for SXSW. The answer is I'm not sure to a lot of these questions. After the premiere we'll be playing in a bunch of other festivals around the world. Definitely something in New York. During these festivals we'll be working on a distro deal that will allow us to release the film theatrically, but that is like winning the jackpot these days (ashy got this right). Hopefully we'll get one. As far as DVD - that is a big unknown. It could be the summer or towards the end of the year. It all really depends on the theatrical deal. Sean - as far as the Patchogue screening we talked about it during the shoot and I'd love to set something up after Texas.

Thanks for checking the site and I promise to respond more often. The film is done today so, I'll have lots of time on my hands!

the clip was pulled off for some reason. someone attached a dildo to a remote controlled helicopter and interrupted this foreign presidents speech. the best part was all the secret service people jumping in front of him to protect him.
