For us it's MODx. We install MODx on every client site we build and they love it. It fairly easy to use, it is completely separate from your code and it has a huge and supporting community. It is a secret gem in the big world of CMS options.

Great post Jeffrey. I have a few tips here also. Evernote is a fantastic tool to keep code snippets in-it is easy to organize plus it syncs them from machine to machine, the web and the iphone/ipad apps. Also when it comes to writing code quickly Text Expander is super handy for speed.

It is true. I have a deletionphobia. I don't know why but it always seems like I might need something in my inbox for use later. The reality is that most of it will never be needed.

I think a solution to this problem is the filters. I filter almost all of my incoming Email into folders that help me sort it out. Unfortunately this system is not fail-safe and one occasionally goes to the wrong folder.

Cuil. I must admit I spelled it wrong the first time I looked for it and got an Italian porn site. Seems as though Culi is something totally different :)

On thing I noticed with Cuil is it's lack of monetization or advertising. Granted they are new the layout doesn't seen to really lend itself to ads. In the end maybe they will invent some small piece of technology that one of the big 3 deem useful enough to buy them.

Ok here is the story. I am a former professional audio engineer. The Analog-to-Digital conversion process makes a big difference. Today most albums are recorded into a MAC usually with a program called Protools. This digital equipment is than run back through an analog console to finally be mixed down again back to digital. This mixed version is then converted again to analog in mastering and made digital once again for production. So the conversion process occurs a multitude of times even in a professional environment. Granted most likely with fairly good converters. The average person in my opinion can not tell the difference between 16 bit 44.1 k (cd quality audio) and a compressed MP3. Good work Rob.

See my experience is the affiliate manager is either communicates too much or is totally missing from the picture. Go figure. They seem to be following a very strange script.

my favorite laptop bag is a totally free not very fancy semi-briefcase given to me by the wonderful people at Absolut Vodka. The thing that makes it so special is it has a padded inner core. The laptop is easily accesable but also well protected.
